Old school classic restaurant, everything simply done well.
As far as I'm concerned, this is the best undercover market in Australia, if not the world! Fresh produce, delicious meals from around the world, smallgoods galore, sourdough breads, cheeses, organic foods, live music and a wonderful friendly energy with people gathering there with friends for an end of the week catch up and shopping on a Friday evening or Saturday morning.
Give yourself the experience of Adelaide Central Market! You'll be so glad you did!
A must place to visit for every time you go to Adelaide.
A bit over rated but still good, be careful on the price
I loved the place..especially the oysters ..fresh..a place to shop many things..
Iconic Adelaide Market with a full range of stall holders selling a wide range of consumables at cheaper than supermarket prices.
Love it great food and fresh produce, check out China town while you're there!
One of the best food markets you will find anywhere. The range of fresh food is excellent. The people and atmosphere are great.
Different kinds of vegetables and fruits. Prices are cheaper than the supermarkets.
What's not to love about about the best and freshest produce Adelaide has to offer. Sensational service and food.
Hands down Australia's best fruit and veg markets. Great range, top quality, even great poultry, seafood and kangaroo. Also fairly well priced and locally sourced. Attached to Adelaide's China Town (laneway) and Asian restaurant district.
Warm people, great produce, each time l go l think, why do l buy fruit and vegetables from Supermarkets. Lots of free samples.
Even the avaricious Adelaide Council charging $100 because l didn't notice the Motorcycle park was temporarily changed and l and the other 3 MC's couldn't park there for an event happening next day.
After all these years, it still feels like an event going to this almost ol' world experience. It's so rustic it personifies ambience & atmosphere like no other in or out of this town. It has everything to ensure an enjoyable experience, from quality fresh fruit & vegetables, bakeries, seafood, butcher, your cheeses, various cafes, especially Lucia's, a Coles & an arcade in close proximity, even licenced facilities. Excluding the extremely busy peak periods, parking is relativel easy as is getting in & out. I love a Friday night or early Saturday morning atmosphere best. Chinatown around the corner & a host of eateries on Gouger street. I find it impossible to stick to my budget, I always buy more than I intended, many specials aplenty & that incredible market aroma. Haven't been? I don't believe you. Haven't been for awhile? Do yourself a favour & visit this unique Adelaide venue, bring any interstate guests or tourists with you, this place is highly recommended. There is something special about the market people that propagate the various stalls & add to the wonderful atmosphere. Go, visit! Cheers.
Love this place especially on Fridays(they open till 9pm)
Overpriced not interesting market. For me only wasting time
A great place for the finest groceries in Adelaide I always love going just for the sights and smells and have been going since I was a baby.
A wonderful market with good fresh products.
The building is very pretty and typical of Australian markets.
There are many products: cheese, charcuterie, vegetables, etc.
There are many cafes around, I advise you to stop for a brunch at Zuma Caffe.
The market is next to Chinatown which is nice to visit too.
Awesome food and finds. Loved the delicatessen, so many things to explore.
World class market. So lucky for Adelaide to have such an asset.
Lovely selection of food and drink. Fresh fruit, wine, meats, cake etc. Well worth a visit.
Lucia's Coffee and Breakfast is Excellent as always!
It's a bustling, vibrant environment. Lots of food/produce for sale. Would recommend checking out if you're visiting adelaide on a Holiday. It's also right next to Chinatown.
Always fresh produce and heaps more.price is take advantage and buy.
Love this market. Not too big but plenty of variety.
Needs more ready to eat takeaway meal options but good atmosphere

Accidentally stumbled across this place, and spent about 3 hours in there.
All your food (sensible and treats), wine, and souvenir options in the one place.
Great to go here after so many years great atmosphere and friendly sellers
As a Sydneysider, I always love a visit to the Adelaide Central Markets. A great spot to meet up, have a bite and a beverage! The sights and smells are amazing. One of the best and most vibrant food markets in Australia.
Have always enjoyed shopping here, plenty of good deals for fresh produce, especially before they close on Saturdays.
Great place with a fantastic atmosphere I always look forward to visiting
As with any market there is hustle and bustle, smells and of course food. Depending on which day you go the service is relitivity quick and nearly always a positive interaction. Lots of cafes and stalls to buy whatever you require
Pretty cool market. Lots of food to try. Worth a look if youre in town and want to eat food or buy veggies.
Ps. Notice how i didnt use the word produce. This is because im not a complete pumpkin
Great variety of food. Good atmosphere. Lots of places to eat. Good value. Definitely worth a visit if you are from outside Adelaide. People living in Adelaide should shop there regularly.
Excellent place for food shopping or dining. Little disappointed that the food courts and shops are Asian dominated ( nothing against them but would like to see a variety).
Get here early. A fabulous market with amazing fresh produce from fish, meat, vegetables, fruit and cheese. On the outer perimeter are some nice quirky shops selling crafts, clothes and wines.
Definitely worth a visit.
Great fresh produce and excellent selection of meats and smallgoods in a vibrant bustling market.
Not sure if the produce is actually better here but the artisan goods certainly are. Best place to buy bread, cheese, yoghurt etc. Always a good experience too.
Great place for fresh produce. Wide variety of vegetables meat seafood breads and cakes. A number of eateries and Chinatown nearby.

Love the atmosphere here. Great bargains delicious food, huge variety. Try the hot nuts
A whole host of amazing stalls offering a wide variety of goods and services. It is a great experience and a must-see for visitors to Adelaide. You can grab a quick bite to eat, or even do some grocery shopping. With amazing customer service across the board, the central market is definitely worth the trip.
What a spectacular wonderland in the heart of the city! There is nothing quite like the smell of the markets - its homely and a blend of fresh produce, coffee and delicatessen foods. You can get lost in here for hours and put on a couple of kgs if you're not careful
Very good offer of everything... is a beautiful place to visit in Adelaide... A have to go place...
There are nice things to discover here. Priced especially fruits and vegetables is very cheap. I enjoyed staying here for a few minutes.
, Full of great food of different cultures, catering for all tastes sweet or savoury , and coffee oooolala
I was really bored on day after work and thought about visiting the market. To my surprise I bumped into a friend from college and my marketing trip just turned into a hangout session! there was a live band and we tasted some oriental snacks here and there, totally reminiscing our college days!
A bit crowded but overall not dirty. The main downside is that you need to pay cash for most shops.
Wow, lots of fruit veg, cheese, meat, etc, etc, etc
I love this place! There are so many attractive and varied small shops and groceries in the Central Market. If you have never visited here, whether you are traveler or local people, you should visit here!
Great food. Great fun. A wide variety of Asian and Italian cuisine. Restaurants and market shops.
