Alway love Central Market. They have almost everything

This market is full of life! I feel like im entering a flea market but for families whenever I frequent this place. You may literally come by to purchase potatoes but you'll feel like such a rockstar as you leave!

I love Adelaide Central market. The best place to visit on Saturday morning. The earlier the better. Start with breakfast in one of local cafes (loved Lucia's) and then head to explore the stalls

You can find anything you need like gifts jewelry, bread, haircut, massage, fruits and veggies, coffee, medicines, footwear, Asian food, falafel, healthy shops, meat, fish, poultry, Chinese food, photos printed, wine, optometrist, rugs and anything you may think about will be there.

Variety of goods. A bit expensive.

The best market!! Must visits include Dough, the Smelly Cheese shop, say Cheese and Zumas for great coffee!! Great range of SA produce and fab vibe. Gets very busy on Saturday mornings, best to go early.

This place has a wide range of quality produce. Don't visit on a Saturday afternoon unless you really have to, half of Adelaide is there!

Perfect place to find fresh fruits, vegetables and meat. Very organized place and pleasant to walk around

Great place to wander around and buy some treats. A few places to eat and have a drink. Fresh produce and good bakeries.

Essentially its a market place for different shops.
You'll find cheese shops, fruit & veg shops, asian cuisine, indian clothes, and more.

My all time favourite place.....everything I need and want to do with food in the one place.
Fresh as can be, stall holders only too obliging if you want to taste something.
Want to know how to use something, just ask they are a wealth of knowledge.

A place to sell really fresh and healthy food and food. It's been less than a week since I joined Adelaide, so I have not looked at other marts properly, but if you buy food, you should stay here! A place filled with cheap, fresh and energetic people !!!

Great place for the freshest best produce in Adelaide and always get a bunch of flowers for the missus.cheese ,bread and fruit and veg always are our staples from there.

A must visit destination when in Adelaide. Fantastic atmosphere and way to sample/see South Australia's produce. The markets showcase a range of fruits/veggies, meats, crafts, baked goods and dairy products.

Not the greatest best dining restaurant especially for being in gold section of the Entertainment Book. Service was average and food was ok. The Signature dish however was pretty good.

Came for the food left with the food. Bought my first venison from here with other local groceries to cook up a storm/feast/whatever but damn it was good to g here.

Such a great range of fresh food, and a wonderfully vibrant culture!

Adelaide is a beautiful and tranquil place - there are an incredible number of green spaces, parks and of course the great Botanical Garden. Another highlight, and one that takes place indoors, is the Adelaide Central Market. This is definitely a MUST SEE when you are in the city. The atmosphere reflects the attitude, lifestyle and zest for life of the inhabitants of this rather small Australian city.

The ease with which you can shop here has long been lost in Europe. Although we were surely recognizable as tourists, we did not pass any of the elaborately decorated booths without a small talk and several tasting bites. Here our counterparts were felt from all over the world - but all of them somehow arrived at the Australia Way of Live .

The offer of fruits and vegetables was clearly different from what is offered in German markets - in terms of price, everything was a little more expensive than in our country, but it also felt to be of a higher quality. It somehow seemed like a fusion of European and Asian products, with the many dried meats reminding us of South Africa and bacon & breads more like America or France - in any case a great mixture!

I was especially impressed by the variety of different grapes that were available here. Whether green, red, black or purple - with seeds or without, small and round or forefinger long, there was simply everything. Many of the fruits & vegetables seemed to be familiar to us visually and in terms of taste, but everything was somehow bigger. The Brussels sprouts, for example, were not as big as a table tennis ball as we had, rather 3-4 times as big.

How could it be different, with "The Mettwurst Shop" there was also a booth with sausage products - let's say, oriented at the German butcher's art. But the operators were not Germans and therefore wanted to know if their sausages tasted authentic enough. They did, but after the fifth sausage variation we had to "flee", because there should be room for more delicacies.

Furthermore, the variety of milk and cheese products was overwhelming - the Australians love the culinary and also good cheese. The halls were so to speak full of pleasure people - what more could you want. Although Adelaide is not located directly at the coast, the offer of seafood was also immense. There was a lot of fresh fish I never saw before - draped next to all kinds of shells, octopuses, shrimps and other crustaceans. If only I had a real possibility to cook, what could not have been "conjured" out of it.

In between, there was plenty of room for the morning coffee and a snack and that's where the people settled down - nobody seemed rushed because they hadn't worked through their shopping list yet. So shopping is fun - of course you shouldn't come here hungry, that would be a mistake, but if you have tried enough here and there, it's no problem anymore.



So, if you should ever be in Adelaide, make sure you visit Central Market at least once - you won't regret it, have fun!

A variety of dishes, fruits, meat, fish, dried fruit, coffee, grocery store applications. . Everything here, the price is also popular, I often come here to buy things.

The central market is a bustling busy market in the city. Everytime I go I find something different. I always get a cup of chocolate from the chocolate fountain and enjoy meandering around all the amazing stalls.

Take the time to hang out here. Right at the water. Great unique artisan products

Amazing little market with fresh produce, original hot meals, breads, pastries, tarts, pasta, desserts, wines, oils, seafood... Best time to visit is in the morning as the shops tend to close by the mid afternoon. The experience was a wonderful play on the senses.

I love going to the market for my supplies and the atmosphere there always entices me to enjoying a coffee followed by a massage at Ha's massage. Whether I'm travelling by car or bicycle it is worth the journey to going to the market opposed to local shops. I purchase all of my souvenirs from here when travelling overseas. I love the selection of cheeses! So many cool clothing stores and fresh produce. Even if I've already eaten, the smells at the market make me feel hungry and its just part of the routine to try something new to taste.

Many people, many product and talking sounds make me feel the energetic atmosphere in this market. Especially I like to enjoy drinking a cup of coffee at a small cafe in the middle of the market.

Great selection of places to eat, shop and it's got a great atmosphere! Must visit, especially for breakfast!

This is an excellent place to shop, especially for items not available in general shops, such as various ethnic foods and baking goods.

I am a student and I love how you can find affordable fruit and vegetables as well as butchers here. Lively, aromatic, free samplers and cooking demonstrations too

lots of varieties of meat, cheese, fruits, vegetables and nuts. a must go to place for your cooking needs.

Great atmosphere excellent food choices great sa products

Love dropping in here every time we visit Adelaide. The dining scene changes here every time we visit. We have some staple shops we go to like the small goods and cheese shops. The coffee at the shop in the middle is superb.

Did a food tasting tour, excellent locally produced products, varied and delicious. Also impressed by free phone charging points in public areas.

A weekly visit by us to Central Market to buy fruit and vegetables/meat. Good value. Can usually pickup what we want within the 1 hr free parking limit and even grab a coffee.

For those who want to buy fresh vegetables, meat or fish, you should definitely visit this market. Everything is presented very beautiful and there is so much to discover.
It is Australia's largest fresh market and an absolute recommendation.
The opening hours are Tuesday to Thursday from 7:00 to 17:30, Friday 7:00 to 21:00, Saturday 7:00 to 15:00. Closed on Mondays and Sundays.

I love coming to the markets! If you like food, there is nothing not to love!
There are a variety of new "ready to eat" places that keep popping up that make this a great place to meet friends for a meal or a coffee.
If you want to get something to make at home, the markets have EVERYTHING! Fruit, veg, smallgoods, cheeses, grains, legumes - if you can't find it here I doubt you should be eating it!
Quality of produce is always fantastic - ranging from organic and premium goods to discount produce for stews etc.
Everyone should go there!
