Actually the photo of the dessert belongs to the Hilton restaurant. At the Central Market I ate a delicious croissant, French enough. Just turn around a bit, and you'll find dishes from all backgrounds: from Spanish to Chinese. And shops and shops. It is the classic covered market, where, as Harrod's, maybe you do not find the elephant, but the pin for sure. And so on. I arrived there on foot, but it is easily reachable by any means, stop at Victoria Place.

It's a great and busy hawker centre with so many different types of food. I could spend days eating here and trying everything. If you see something that has a queue, it is probably worth to join in and try it.

The central markets have so many great smells and colours and tastes to experience. Some nights there is live music too. Even if I'm not looking to buy any fresh produce it is still fun to come for a coffee and to wander around and soak up the atmosphere.

10:10 - Most amazing food market in all of Australia - what more can I say - Incredible. Adelaide you are lucky to have such magic markets and such high quality food on tap. My favourite food market. When ever I'm in Adelaide I visit as much as possible. Only disappointment is the markets are closed Sunday & Monday and close early at 3pm on Saturday's.

We should have a market like this in Canberra , the closest we have is Belconnen markets . The old world charm is amazing, selection of cold meats and cheeses , saw the largest steak at a butchers shop today. Reminds me of when I grew up in the late 60 s with selection of fresh foods and meats.

The market is very clean (and it does not smell) and has a great atmosphere. Huge range of fresh produce on display. Lots of organic options. Some of the shops offer seating options for eating/having coffee. Highly recommended. Also free first hour of parking there.
