So much to see and buy. But can be a little hectic and overwhelming to many. I love the bargains you can get close to closing on Saturday.

Great tucked away market of gourmet foods. Careful of sleazy vendors and pick pockets.
I really like the vibe of the Adelaide market- always enjoyed the down to earth stores, personal service and fresh produce. Maybe its a bit nostalgic as I used to live just over the road from the South Melb. markets as a teenager. If you can get in and out in 1 hour the parking is free, which is a nice touch too in this profit driven world. The proposed 35 story re- development of the market is a big concern.
This was such a fun market experience. I'd refer to one of my favourite mean girl dialogues where the market would totally say 'I'm not like a regular market, I'm a cool market!" Happy shopping y'all
Great place to get produce, cheap fruit veg and meats shop around for the best prices, organic foods available as well as speciality food items also great food hall avoid if you don't like hectic places as can be full on but worth it
Bright, colorful, exotic, delicious, imaginative. Tantalising all the senses.
This place alone is worth going to Adelaide for. It has a great selection of local produce and good cafe options.
There is a real buzz about the place too, so finding a place for a glass of wine and a snack, then spending an hour or so people watching is a good use of time.
Adelaide's Iconic Central Markets. A delight to visit, whether to grab a bite or buy your groceries.
Love it this place... you can find anything you want.
Every city in the world should have a place like this.

It is a great place to get local farm fruit and vegetable. It is much cheaper than coles or woolworths. Everything is very fresh and delicious. You can also try different types of seafood and Asian cusine. I bought some coffee beans and nuts and it was also great.

Great for snacks, meals, tastings, shopping and stocking up on fruit and veg. Vendors are always giving out great deals to keep up with each other. Seven brothers is our favourite stall. Cheap cheap fresh produce and such a great bunch of people who work there :)
I love this place! Great food choices and atmosphere
There's the farmer's market in Sunday, but on all other days, this is where you go to get your fresh produce, whether local or imported. A great variety of stalls on offer, from ready to eat to raw. The atmosphere is also very pleasant, stemming from longstanding stallholders having friendly competition with each other. Come on Saturday near to closing time for bargains on many produce.
Yes. My favourites include Lucias for easy deliciousness at home, the organic fruit stall and cactus for quality produce, the bread and cheese stall in the middle for tarts, French and Aussie cheeses and sour doughs, and standom for small goods...i could go on for a couple of pages about each stall and the quality produce, local ingredients and international influences. This place is the mecca of multiculturalism in Australia
Great place to buy fruits and vegetables cheap and fresh must visit
If you're a food-lover, this is an essential place to visit in Adelaide. There are so many fantastic stalls for cheeses, bread, fruits, vegetables, wine and desserts. If you're looking for exotic ingredients for a recipe, or a cheap and tasty lunch, or you love a bustling atmosphere, this is the place for you. Bring a shopping bag with you and check it out!
One of the best places to visit in the Adelaide CBD. A lovely little old-style market with great dining or snacking options and plenty of fresh variety. Parking is reasonable but there are also on-street options nearby.
No trip to Adelaide should be complete without a trip to the Central Market. A wide variety of things that international visitors may have never seen before.
Incredibly delicious food and a very clean facility.

The only market in Adelaide. Can buy fruits, vegetables, honey, meat, souvenirs, cheese and wines. Although it is smaller than Queen Victoria Market in Melbourne, it plays it role.
Love the CM. Has all your fruit and vegetables, Asian and continental food in one place
A fantastic range of quality local Adelaide produce. Fresh baked pasteries and breads, condiments and meat and seafood. A good selection of international foods too which are hard to find elsewhere in Adelaide. A friendly and warm atmosphere.
