Great experience. A must see and do for any tourist or local alike.
Pure vegetarian restaurant, and organic shops make me go there again and again.
You can not leave Adelaide without having taken a tour in this historic market, colorful, picturesque, where you can find culinary excellence and more!
Great place with a great variety of fresh food in the heart of China town!
overwhelmingly packed markets with food for anyones taste, so many local options for great food. even if you dont have a dime in your pocket walking through the markets and sampling the goods is enough to make any experience here amazing. only complaint is the space in the cafes and stalls. however, considering the amount of options it's only given space is limited.
Almost everything you need, you might find it there, from rare to heaps and plastic to meat.
A wonderful variety of fresh produce, a vast choice of specialty foods and well selected regional foods.
Always as fun to visit as it was decades ago. From basic veges to good quality produce, it has it all here. Try the honey shop.
Excellent variety of fresh produce.
Excellent variety of Continental produce.
Great Food Court for lunch, pleasant Wine Bar and ample Coffee Bars
Good prices, good service, clean premises...inc. toilets...added up to a very nice morning out. Must take car next time so I can buy more!!!
Very good market, with lots of shops and food options.
The stores are great, and there is something for everyone. I personally love the Hello Kitty murchandise available. The pub has amazing coffee, and The Adelaide Nut always has the freshest products. It can be crowded; but that is because of the quality of the businesses.
Great variety and quality and comparatively reasonable
prices
Great place, little crowded, mostly good prices and good food
The range of fresh meat and product was mind blowing
Always a great spot to visit one the out of town visitors love too.
Love Adelaide central market!
Great place to viait/shop/see
Atmosphere, food, coffee. Just the best place in Adelaide to shop.
Beautiful vibrant place that comes with free 1 hour parking!
If I could make it there week to shop? I would! I always save so much money on very good quality fresh goods. I've never left the markets unsatisfied. The only problem is the parking can get crazy at the markets. Why I'm Dropping to 4 stars as the world isn't perfect.
It just gives out a great vibe. The smell, sights, sound of the vendors and variety of goods.
Awesome market place, fresh fruits and relatively low prices
Great place. Especially worth tasting cheese at the Smelly Cheese Shop.
Great experience. Weekly shop. A good feed or just to find that special ingredient.
Definitely one of the betterthings going for Adelaide. You name it, its there. Great for morning meal or after work drinks.
There's Asian family bakery shop which is so unique are delicious!!!
One of the must visit places of Adelaide. Bustling with culture and glorious food. You can find almost anything here, and a true market experience that fantastically represents the cultural melting pot it is. Prices are reasonable, and a great variety of eateries. You can sample a great amount of food from many of the stalls, as well as talk to well informed staff. It can get busy, however it only adds to the market experience.
Personally I find it too crowded but I do like how cheap everything is :)
Who doesn't love the Central Market. I love it so much I've moved closer to it so I can walk there every Saturday.
Fresh produce, great vibe, friendly stallholders, great coffee and food places. There's even a second hand bookshop and a great Asian supermarket. Even if you don t need anything go and have a coffee and soak up te atmosphere.
A busy, diverse, crowded market. Accessible and well organised.
My favourite spot, just soaking up the atmosphere, looking for the seasonal produced and munching on some simple yummy food. Bonus free first hour car parking.
Probably the best market in Australia. If you love markets, definitely don't miss this. There's a great mix of produce stalls, cheese, butchers, small goods, cafes and gourmet providores. I really loved this place!
Closed early tonight. Was really busy but shops closed around a busy time?
Amazing, fresh, loads of options and cheap. Come and try it!
It's ok, not as good as it used to be years ago. I can get pretty much anything I want elsewhere and for similar prices so no point going anymore.
Great variety of stalls but with the place so busy and many many shoppers it hard to keep an eye on the kids
What a Market should be: noisy, colorful, tons of options
Love this market, you'll find the freshest produce plus more.
Friday nights here are fantastic! Too many options!
For people who wants to save a bit of money go there on Saturdays as they close on sundays Mondaydays so theyll sell it cheaper to get rid of stalk
Ordered and with several options of foreign products, their prices are unavailable.
Great fresh produce, a foodys dream and a nice walk from the city!
We need a better bakery ..I can't buy good German style cakes anymore..sad to see
Terrific selection of dilectible baked goods, coffees, cheeses, seafood and meats. A must-do for anyone visiting Adelaide and particularly satisfying in cold, wet weather. Excuse me, I'm going to go have my food baby now
A must for anyone that is into fresh produce, something to eat or just to try some cheese, trust me you will find something there you will want.
Great place for all your markets needs - plenty of good food to buy and take home and also lots to eat and drink onsite.
Great place for all different types of fruit and veg and great places to eat as well.. sun mi kitchen is beaut
Great variety of fresh produce. Worth visiting when in Adelaide.
A must do when visiting Adelaide. Great for fresh fast fruit, veg, coffee and a yummy lunch.
Nice place to shop, eat and experience different things at the heart of City.
Quiet due to covid, and stores still setting up even though its advertised they all open at 8.30... boring for children as mainly fruit and veg, no specially stores
Wonderful atmosphere! Whether you're out for a no-fuss feed or food shopping, you will leave smiling. A must "to go to" if you're visiting or just need to be in a "happy place".
It's very small for a city market. Prices are on the expensive side for a market. Street parking is hard to find.
Great place to shop a grab some great food. They have something for everyone.
Go here on a Saturday before 3pm to get discounted items. :)
So much to see. All stall holders were very helpful and actually wanted to sell you something. The place was extremely clean, car Parker brilliant and it was nice an cool away from the heat of the day. The fresh produce was really fresh and presented well.
Amazing choice of fresh produce, cheese and meat. However it is often the case that veggies and fruits don't have much life left in them. It is best used up straight after the purchase.
Thought the 1st hour was free over the weekend there 15 minutes to pick up a cake cost me $7 what a rip off
Not just a market. There's lots of gourmet food stores as well as great places to eat. You could spend half a day there exploring what's on offer. Plenty of free samples too.
