We just went for the day to the water park.
We had a great time and the cost was not outrageous. Great place to spend the day with family and /or friends.

Mind blowing experience. Redefined my opinion of West Virginia as a whole. The staff is very fun and friendly! The grounds were exceptional. The guides for the white water rafting at the New River are expectional and will give you an amazing adventure. The only minor disappointment I can recall is being excluded from an amazing buffee they had because it was a private party !

We booked a half day trip on the lower New River. Water levels were up & the trip was going to be short, so Ace took us on both upper and lower. Guides were fun and responsible. Our trip leader, Zach, had his act together. I have rafted Colorado and other places, and Ace represents our beautiful state well.

So much fun, the adventure lake was a blast. We ratted with Kelsey on Saturday and she was very knowledgeable and so much fun. Looking forward to coming back.

My family and I went to the Nightmare in the gorge haunted house. Honestly I was expecting a little more but I was able to witness a couple good scares the actors got on the kids so I guess it was a win overall!!!

From the moment we arrived until the disappointing time we left, we had an absolute blast. On our final journey back to our campsite on Friday, the kids (ages 14, 11 and 6) were begging to stay "just one more night". We are even contemplating a return trip, which is not a normal for us as we like to "see something new" each year.
Our rafting guide, Kevin, was fantastic. My six year old still recites his rules, such as "breathe when you see the birdies, not the fishies". His declaration of "that was awesome!" when pulling her back into the boat after losing to the duckie muncher, left even her wanting more.
Bottom line, our kids may disown us if we don't go back. In their rating system, only a week at Disney World would gain a higher approval.

Hit the Lower New with with Kelsie B as our tour & it was epic!!!!! My first time was an experience of a lifetime!! Great activities for the whole family!! Check out the waterpark!!

The staff is truly awesome it's a fun place make sure to make activity reservations so you don't miss out on anything you want to do ! HAVE A GREAT ADVENTURE!

This is a great place to stay and check out some of West Virginia s natural beauty. The facilities are accommodating and the staff is super friendly. We took a rafting trip on the New River and couldn t have had a better time. Our trip leader, Lucky, did an excellent job explaining everything. Since our group was so small, they took us on a little excursion to eat lunch near a waterfall. The restaurants have some tasty food and ice cold beer! Our kids loved the water park. Hell, even I had a great time trying to climb those huge water toys. We ll definitely be coming back!!!

Our zipline guides Amanda, Carley and Dave were great guides. Lots of fun and their very cool people!

This trip was amazing! Tug is the best guide you could ask for, between his jokes and the history stories that he was telling all of us, it was just amazing! Highly recommend as a fun family trip

Awesome friendly fun place for all my kids. One is special needs and did great on beach and smaller blow ups.

Lower new River all day raft trip was fun even with low water. Our guide/EMT, Joe, was amazing and handled an injury perfectly. My daughter stayed on the tripand had a good time. View, restaurant, water park and camping was the best!
Only suggestion would be to have credit cards checked in, so you don't need to carry money everywhere. Just sign and add to my bill is more efficient and quite frankly easier to spend my money.

The river was fantastic, the weather perfect, but what made it the best day ever was the staff we had on our trip. Our leader Bodi, our photographer and idol John Cornwell, and the man of the hour - our guide and boat captain, Tim Smith. This man is legendary. They too care of us and safely guided us through an excellent ride, something we will remember forever.<br/>Loved every bit of it and can't wait to go back!

Had a pretty good time at the Nightmare At The Gorge Haunted House . But the only thing bad about it is all the stairs you have to climb to get to it ! LOL !!!

Beautiful scenery...fun rafting... excellent guides.

These folks are pros at putting together a great WV experience. The ACE property was awesome. The cabin was very comfortable and clean. The guides for the rafting trip were tremendously experienced and knew the river well to keep us safe but make the ride adventurous. Deserve more than 5 stars.

I went on a white water rafting trip with my in-laws for a birthday celebration, and we had an amazing time from start to finish!

We had eight people total and our guide was Alex Grimes. We did the lower New River, since only two of our party had ever rafted before. The safety briefings we had in the beginning and throughout the day were educational and entertaining to keep people s attention. Throughout the day Alex told us all types of information about the river and surrounding area, and was also very friendly and made our time very memorable. Lunch was delicious, and definitely surprised our group(we were just expecting cold cuts).

As our day came to an end, I said to my group, the ONLY thing that could make this day better is a beer on the way back . Sure enough, there was beer waiting for us when we got our raft put away.

I will definitely be rafting again and I will definitely go with Ace! I would recommend them 100% to anyone!

We rented a cabin with several friends. We enjoyed the water park area. Great place!

Was there with friends and family for the gritty chix run and it was awesome. Plenty of people to help lead you in the correct direction. Everyone was super friendly

Rafted the Upper and Lower Gauley and had an excellent experience! All the guides seemed experienced and friendly, we have had Kent and Scotty and would recommend them in a heartbeat. The camp sites were nice and spacious, the bar had a good vibe with live music, and basically everything was awesome!

Its a very fun place. Everyone was so happy and nice there.they do need more seating though.

Seventh trip with Ace. This was my first time in 20 years on the New.river and our trip leader Ester was fantastic on the upper! Second day we did the lower New and had a blast! We had a 12 year old with us (her first time rafting) and she had an amazing time. Our guide Zach was excellent as always and made for a great trip. We stayed in a platform tent this round as opposed to a cabin as we had booked very close to our trip date. It was everything expected for the price. Clean shower facilities. I always enjoy my time at Ace! I'll see you in a month for Gauley season! (Cabin this time, I need the hot tub!!)

We visited the waterpark and had a lot of fun. Their are signs from all the way back to the interstate making it easy to find. Had to spend about 5 minutes filling out a waiver for each person however it was painless getting through the gate. The staff was very friendly and informative. There are areas in the lake for toddler aged kids to play in the water along with a nice clean beach. I recommend water shoes if you will be in the shallow areas for long periods of time due to sharp stones on the lake floor. Overall it's worth visiting.

Fun to be had by adventurers and just kicked back lake fun

Best place to raft and stay. I survived other places out here and this one by far is worth it. Facilities are all 5 star from tent camping to large home rentals.

The meal plan is worth the money.

Awesome experience. The check in process was easy for our white water rafting trip, and our time on the river was excellent. Penny was a fantastic guide and made sure we had a great time.

The white water rafting instructors were all very kind, informative, and fun to raft the white waters with. The instructor that I had (Craig) was a great instructor. He made the adventure fun, safe, and all our amazing by telling stories of his time as a raft instructor and about him. I didn't get the chance to hang out with the other instructors but they were all great too. Their customer service is top-notch, they take care of the people that they work with. All out, ACE Adventures was a very good place and I would recommend it to family and friends.

Super fun if you love water!! Lots to do and food on site if you didn't bring your own. Will continue to go!!

Bryant was an AMAZING guide!!! We had him on the New River and the Upprr Gauley. ACE Adventure is a class act organization.

FAVORITE company to camp with and do activities, great group to raft with. I can't think of a bad thing about ACE. They do a great job with everything

The day I spent at the water park was one of the best days of my life, I had so much fun!

So much fun, even during Hurricane Laura. Camp sites are a lot bigger than elk neck state park in MD

Loved the day. Loved the waterpark! Only thing did not like was how rough the beach sand was in the waterpark. And at the end of the zipline there is jagged concrete that is dangerous while trying to get back on the bank.

Great place for large groups. ACE is a lot of fun with a lot to do.

I've been twice, both for Mountain Music Festival. I love the facility and all that it offers. Happy to have this in WV

Every year we take a 'girls only' trip...on this trip we fell in love with the Ace Resort and the Ace staff. Day one=white water rafting. Our guide, Basil, was very friendly and gave us some good history...some truth, some not so true. Fun guy. All of the guides were very fun yet very educated on their specific duties. Not once did we feel in trouble or that we couldn't trust their judgement. Worth the money spent.
Day two= waterpark and zip line. Waterpark was so much fun. Lots of laughs and new things to experience. Staff very attentive. Zip Line, we loved Shane, Carly #1, & Carly #2. Shane is a crack up and very good on his instructions. We loved that the staff took time out to take our picture. Well worth the money.

Was only there for a day, but it was great. We went Ziplining and everyone was friendly and welcoming. The only issue I noticed was that their wayfinding and pricing signage was a bit lacking so it was difficult to know where to go and what you should expect to pay (for photos, in my case). The signs were there but not all themed the same, so we got lost a few times. When we went to look at the photos from our event, the signs showing pricing were separate for rafting and zipping, so if you didn't know to look for that, you may not realize the zipping photos were less expensive (others in our group left thinking the picutres were more expensive than they actually were). Simply having a photo price list down by the zipping barn could fix that. Other than that, it was good. We went to the restaurant on-site and found it to be good also.

Do not trust this company. I purchased a DVD of my rafting trip and they gave me the wrong copy and will not replace the dvd with the correct version. They have been giving me the run around for 5 months. I will never go back here.

Did an overnight trip this last week with Andrew and Jeff as our guides, and our everything else when camping overnight. They were so polite and accommodating it was unbelievable. They made a first timer and a lifer of both myself and my 16 year old son. This was truly an amazing experience and an unbelievable value in my eyes. So much fun and a great family bonding event, that I plan on bringing the whole family back to do it together.

We stopped on our way back to PA from SC. This was the perfect stopping point, and we had a blast!! Highly recommend stopping at this hidden gem. It was better than we thought it would be. The pictures don't do it justice.

Absolutely breathtaking. Came here to raft and that was definitely an experience you'll never forget. There's so much other things to do here that I want to try another day I visit.

Our guide was fantastic! We had 17 family members in our party & we are coming back next year! Ace adventures rocks!

This place is the BEST! We came down here to try our hand at whitewater rafting. We re total beginners; never even touched a paddle. Our raft guide, Jackson, was such a joy to have. You could tell he loved his career; he was so passionate in all of the knowledge he gave our group. He taught us a bunch of local history, played jokes to keep us laughing while also keeping us safe. We never stopped smiling during our trip, and we have the pictures to prove it. If you want memories to last you a lifetime, definitely give this place a shot. We will definitely be back!

This is an enormous facility with a large variety of events and activities. Wonderful dining facilities.

Only went to the water park, but it was amazing. Hours and hours of fun for the kids. The lake is clean and well-maintained. The staff is very polite yet vigilant on safety. Great beet selection at the restaurant and the food was better than expected. Will definitely go back and stay for more fun!!!

It is fun but some things are broke or old. The pizza is . Would have enjoyed more if it was hotter.

Such a fun and relaxing long weekend away with friends! We stayed in the Mountaintop campground which was equipped with a fire pit, bench and communal bathrooms with individual stalls (shower, sink and toilet). We spent an entire afternoon at the water park having a great time on all the inflatables and relaxing on the shore with some drinks. We did a half day white water rafting trip with Jeff as our guide & Shana as our guide-in-training. We had an incredible trip thanks to Jeff's expertise and their upbeat attitudes, the water level was great and it was absolutely beautiful going down the New River. Couldn't recommend Ace Adventure Resort more, all staff were exceptionally friendly and the whole experience was one to remember!

We went white water rafting on July 7th for a full day trip and had a blast! <br/>Our guide, Basil, was by far the very best! When booking you should really ask for him. He was fun, informative and encouraging. He made the trip extra fun & we definitely felt we were in good hands. <br/>We learned so much about the river and the area. Lunch was great as well- they even provided veggie burgers for those that needed that accommodation. <br/>Part of the day it down-poured, but it made the trip even more fun! We got to jump off a boulder and were able to swim at different parts in the trip. <br/>It was our first time rafting, so we weren t sure what to expect. We will 110% go again! <br/>I suggest bringing water shoes- we wore sneakers (which was fine) but I think next time we would splurge and get actual water shoes. I wore spandex capris which was perfect- in shorts I think the rubber of the raft would get uncomfortable on your legs after a day.<br/>Don t forget to apply sunscreen and if you can bring a water bottle that has a metal clip on it, bring that too! You can clip it to your life vest.<br/>I also brought my phone in a water proof case and clipped it to my vest.<br/>Our trip was from around 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM.

What a place! So much to do. Ample camping spots. Great whitewater experience for different levels of daring. At, paintball, zip line, Waterpark. Amazing

Great white water rafting trip. The facilities were nice and clean. They provided lunch and then beer on the ride back in. Lots of fun and great staff.

We stayed 3 nights and had a great time. Rafting was excellent with knowledgeable and friendly staff and the water park was a huge hit with the kids. The restaurant food was ok.

Downsides: the facilities are pretty basic and in some places a little rough around the edges. I think it s fair for the price however. Camping is rustic.

However I would not stay in their cabin-tent again. While the walls and roof are solid, the floor is literally wide open to all bugs. So they WILL be in the cabin and bed with you. Not very pleasant. Go for an actual tent or cabin unless you re sleeping under a bug mesh.

(Also, don t buy firewood from their camp store it was wet and very difficult to burn. )

Other than those complaints we had a great time and recommend.

My friend and I did the full day of white water rafting. I recommend Ace above all other rafting outfits- we had amazing guides, amazing food, and the time of our lives!

We rented a cabin here for week and fully enjoyed our stay. The activities were varied and fun. Staff was professional and friendly.

Just had a wonderful weekend with a group of 21 people. Ace Adventures did a great job. Cabins were nice and clean, all employees were very helpful and made sure we were going to have a good time. We had great tour guides going down the lower New River rapids. Water park was a fun and exhausting time. We will be back again.

It was a exhilarating experience. The staff was extremely professional and absolutely wonderful. I was terrified but at the same time felt safe. If you go ask for Jackson to be your guide. You will not be disappointed!

Tried renting a cabin here for a few days. The only thing we wanted to do was enjoy the water park and a cabin with a hot tub. The only cabins available were ones u had to do the guided activities in. We were not interested in the guided activities. We They said they could not do anything more when I called them to book a cabin. Told them we would just go elsewhere and all they had to say was sorry u feel that way ma'am but there's nothing we can do. So we are going to go to longs retreat water park instead in Ohio.

I was recently at this facility with my church group and they were very accommodating regardless of our group size. The facility was clean and the staff were excellent. I would definitely recommend this facility for anyone passing nearby who wants to spend a day and have some fun a d relax.

We had a great time on our family rafting trip! Ready to do it again very soon!
