I recently attended P&C webinar and passed my IL state exams first try. I took the advise of the instructor and drove to Madison WI as that was the closest testing center that I was able to schedule the exams within 2 weeks of the webinar. Thanks for the advise and off I go!!
My instructor Lonnie was terrific. His anecdotes and real life experience made the course enjoyable and informative. The study material was very detailed and exactly what the state exam requires. The practice questions prepare you for the exam and is very close to what the state exam asks. I was more than prepared. ABRC is wonderful to work with, from scheduling my classes and exam to answering any questions I had. Its great passing both the P&C tests on the first attempt.
My class with Lonnie Irving prepared me and helped me feel confident going into my exam. He took tons of overwhelming & boring material & made it understandable in a short amount of time. I can t wait to take my Life and Health Class!!
Absolutely the best! Jim did an amazing job getting all the information we needed in 2 short days. He took the time to connect with all of us and answer all our questions. His methods are proven and I passed my test on the first try! Not only was I prepared for the test, but Jim prepared us for the exam procedures. You can tell that Jim has his heart and soul in this company and really takes the time time make sure each of his students are on the right track. I will be reccomening him to all the agents I work with! Also his prices are incredible! Wish I could give him more than 5 stars!
Highly recommend ABRC! Jim did a fantastic job of keeping all of us engaged in the class and I felt that I was very well prepared for the test. His use of relevant examples and illustrative scenarios served as great memory aids while taking the test. I passed them all first try with their help and guidance!
Terrible overall experience! The worst part was the unhelpful and inconsiderate instructor/owner (Jim Edwards). While at the ABRC Property and Casualty seminar, when I tried to ask questions and relate overlapping concepts from my previous seminar, training and learning from Dorhn, Jim was dismissive of my question. He then preceded to defame Dorhn Insurance and told me Dorhn gives out wrong information and did so in a dismissive way. By the time all this happened, he effectively embarrassed me in front of the class an alienated me in front of the class and did not get to my question. I understand there is a lot of material to cover in a 2 day insurance seminar and you can't go down the rabbit hole with questions too much but, Jim is a just a grouchy old man who is set in his ways and doesn't value other peoples input and just wants them to sit down and shut up so he can get through his lecture. Not a good teacher. Also, his materials are archaic and in need of improvement. The textbook given requires the student to fill out a large amount of pertinent information for the test that the student has to get from a 1980's style projector. There is no online practice tests with feedback. Instead of that, you are required to fill out tests that look like standardized SAT test's. This is much slower and inefficient for picking up information in comparison to an online learning center. When the seminar was over and I had a chance to talk to Jim and tried to tell him about my complains, he tuned me out and didn't listen, bared me from further attending his courses, and said he would be telling on me to my agent for interrupting his class. Terrible professionalism and customer service skills. I am not happy with ABRC and will be telling everyone I know not to use them!
If I could give this company zero stars I would. I had Loni as my Instructor. He is the worst human being and does not teach. He spends most of the class time insulting students, making fun of them in class and talking about his personal life. Furthermore, he was verbaly abusive and racially discriminated students that were not African. Due to his lack of teaching, I failed my state test and had to retake the class with a differnet company. Do not waste your money!!!! Go to a better company.
I ve had the pleasure of taking two series of pre license classes with Jim Edwards over the past few years -- one in person for Life and Health and more recently, the debut online Property and Casualty Webinar. Both were excellent and are highly recommended -- I successfully passed all four licensing exams on the first go! For someone like me who is not a great test taker I never felt more comfortable and in command of the material due to the way it was presented by Jim (and somehow miraculously retained by me). Granted, you need to put the work in after the two day classroom sessions -- but if you heed his lecture and listen, you will learn. Thank you again Jim and also thanks to the great staff of ABRC!

I recently passed the Property, Casualty, Health and Life Insurance tests. I took all four classes with Lonnie Irving. He was an engaging and thorough teacher who really went the extra mile to help us learn the material. I definitely felt prepared for the tests after the classes and my personal studying. Lonnie directed us on how to study and it all worked out great! He is the perfect teacher for these classes.

I must say, ABRC came through by quickly within days switch a live class to virtual due to cancellation by the State. By not changing the session dates, I was able to complete the seminar and successfully take/pass my State exam. Thanks for helping me make it possible!
I would be lying if I said I was looking forward to my ABRC seminar for property and casualty insurance. My instructor was Lonnie Irving and within 5 minutes my attitude completely changed. He made the two days so enjoyable, I didn t want the seminar to end and go back to reality. I was so worried about being bored and not being able to pay attention. Well not on Lonnie s watch! It was a lot of important information but his delivery was so fun and upbeat. I passed my exam today because of him. I would read a question and remember a story or example that Lonnie told us. I owe my license to him and ABRC! Thank you for making it such a great experience and caring about your students!
Thank you to the ABRC Team! In February I completed the webinar training for property/casualty taught by Jim and Lonnie, and yesterday I passed both exams on the first try! From the engaging two-day course to the content booklets and practice exams, ABRC provided me the tools to not only learn the business, but also confidently take the exams. This was my first webinar ever in life, so I didn't know what to expect. However, Jim was very knowledgeable and explained very thoroughly what was important. I took my webinar class on 12/3-12/4 and I took my exam for my Property/Casualty license on 12/7. I am pleased to say that I took both exams on the same day, and I passed. I passed my producer licensing exam within a week of attending one of ABRC's webinars. It only took one try and I felt very confident after the instructors thoroughly covered the material I needed. Also, they have done a wonderful job adapting to an online/webinar format.

I recently attended a January webinar on P/C insurance. I'm 57 years old and school was 40 years ago, so I thought I would struggle. But the manner the class was taught made learning so easy. Never a question went unanswered and if you still had issues they were happy to remain after and help. First class people that made learning a breeze. I passed my tests with a feeling that I knew what I was doing! Recommended!
I took and passed my Property & Casualty Exams today (Nov 19th). I am very excited and relieved. As a 50yr old, I wasn't very sure of how I would retain the vast amount of info received, but I am truly grateful for the opportunity.
Also, I feel compelled to express my appreciation for my trainer from the 2-day preparation course, which I took last week at the O'hare Holiday Inn. My trainer, Lonnie Irvin, is nothing short of amazing. He was professional, courteous, witty, empathetic, entertaining, and most of all engaging!
I am an educator of over 20 years and having been a Teacher, Dean and school Administrator, I know how challenging it can be to effectively hold the attention of a class for a section or a period, let alone 2 for full days of sitting and reading.
Going in, I knew that I was not going to be able to do the 2-day webinar offered and I was very skeptical of my chances of not falling asleep and losing interest even in a live setting for that long. However, Lonnie made it so interesting that I could have been there for a week! So whoever reads this, I really want you to knew that Lonnie brings a great deal of value and credibility to your organization that is hard to duplicate!

I took the property, casualty, life, and health seminar with Lonnie Irving. Let me just start off by saying "YOU GONE LEARN TODAY". I didn't know anything about the insurance industry or how I was going to absorb so much information in a short amount of time. Lonnie was able to ease my worries by creating helpful scenarios throughout the lecture and fixed any confusion I had about anything. I took the property and casualty exam that same week and passed on the first attempt! I plan on taking the life and health exam and expect to pass those too because I had a great instructor. I hope everyone has the pleasure of learning from such a talented, smart, and entertaining instructor like I did.
The webinar option of Pre-License classes with Jim Edwards May 6 & 7 was excellent, the format was professional and forward thinking during these times! The prep work and material covered during the sessions helped me feel confident going into the exams. I highly recommend ABRC/ Agent Broker Review. I successfully passed all four licensing exams on the first try! Jim s presentation of the material was perfect, he made sure emphasize critical sections and remind us after each practice exams to go back to the book "be sure to look it up" and study any missed questions. It WORKED, Thank YOU Jim!!
Lots of information to digest but Jim really does provide you with all the tools needed to pass your exam. I would certainly have the expectation that just completing the pre-licensing course isn't enough. Utilize the practice exams that are provided and you'll be good to go!
I took the Property/Casualty class with Jim Edwards. He was very good about keeping us focused and on the topic of the course. I took the test a week later and passed both on the first try. I also took life/health with Jim as well and I am sure I will do great when it comes time to test.

I was apprehensive about ABRC because of a review I read, I went to another school to get my previous licenses. I became very relaxed as soon as Lonnie stepped into the classroom. He efficiently explained his superb resume and stated his strong desire to see everyone pass the exams. Throughout the two days Lonnie gave us examples after examples of the concepts, he also explained how the wording of the questions are designed to make sure that we completely know what we are supposed to. I can write paragraphs after paragraphs on how great Lonnie is and was but, since no one reads long reviews I will just say that if you are uneasy about ABRC like I was, Lonnie will provide you with the best information and study routine. Approximately 93% of his students pass the test on the first try. This speaks to Lonnie's expertise on the subject matters. I m glad I had Lonnie as my teacher and I passed the Life, Accident & Health tests on my first try. I wish you much success, Thank you and I commend you Lonnie.

Mr. Edwards did an excellent job teaching our class on Property & Casualty. There is a TON of information to know but he broke it down and helped understand what was to be the main focus. ABRC truly cares about the people and wants to help in any way they can.
ABRC is hands down the best ethics training in the state! I took my original licensing class with them 14 years ago. Worked with them in 2020 for (virtual instructor led) Ethics. Great course! Real life scenarios. Good agents need to take this.
