Recently moved thanks to AMJ Campbell Kingston, very courteous and professional job.

Not ever happy at all recieved 3email starting Friday night saying they would be delivering my hot tub between 6_9 no show
Email 2&3saying would be delivered Sunday no show I receive one more email say it's to big of and item don't have the man power we are sorry don't take on contracts u can not handle

So BAD I can't score.but I have to give it 1 star to let me post.. From the quote to actual - less to move from quote and cost more to move less. Go figure. From embellished hours on the invoice, for being billed for items not moved, from a driver/mover who was admitting of being out late with the boys and only having 2 hours sleep, which is maybe why he peeled off 5 feet of eaves-trough hitting the house backing up. For breaking a door, not securing a hand rail after removing it and an elderly lady almost falling because of it pulling off. For the profanity used repeatedly throughout the move and for not letting us forget how much money he was losing today. Here's an idea...Less talk, more work and bring guys that actually work. Not a guy who claims to be on WSIB for a fall at work? Why was he even there? He did nothing, but create more work! What was supposed to be stress free using movers, turned out to be more stressful using AMJ. BRUTAL experience and NEVER again.

This is the last company ,I would use,things were broke,footprints left on our stools they used,instead of using a trolley to carry boxs,they carried one at a time,objects weren't wrapped. Tried to work with owner on our problem. Nothing solved

AMJ Campbell Kingston should be ashamed of themselves.
They came to my parents home around 3 weeks to a month ago to give my mom an estimate; knowing my dad is currently deployed to Iraq, my mom, who is disabled herself, is home alone with 3 kids, 2 dogs, her disabled mother and is having to do this move alone.
They didn't get back to my mom until yesterday, when they informed her, in an email--they didn't even have the decency to do this over the phone--that they would be declining to submit an estimate for her move.
They've now left my mom in a complete and total lurch to find a moving company since they didn't return her calls until yesterday.
To do this to a family over the holidays is bad enough, but to do it to a military family when my dad is deployed to Iraq, and you all knew full well about it, is shameful.
AMJ Campbell has put my parents through the ringer once before with a move, and they have most certainly NOT redeemed themselves.

We retained the services of AMJ Campbell Kingston for moving our house contents from Richmond Hill, ON to Kingston. We thought of calling for quotations from few movers but upon receipt of a quotation from David Ringrose of AMJ Kingston and after talking to him, we decided to accept his quote right away as we felt he was genuine and detail oriented. Also, a special appreciation goes out to Jim and his team, they came on time, packed the contents well, loaded them into the truck and delivered them safely to our new property in Kingston on the date and time that we agreed upon. Thank you.

My parents used them for long-term storage while they were out of the country. Of the thirteen times they've used a moving company this is easily the worst experience they have ever had.

Several items were improperly packed and wound up being broken (Including an antique lamp that had been in the family for decades). A vacuum cleaner that went into storage brand new came out covered in scuffs and paint and had clearly been used by someone while they were away.

Two large boxes of heirloom china are completely missing. The person my mother spoke to regarding the issues assures her that everything goes directly from the truck to the storage bay and it's impossible that it was misplaced somewhere (i.e. left on the truck or stored with someone else's items.) That can only mean that it was deliberately removed from storage by someone at some point during the time they were away, which isn't very reassuring.

One of the owners said they would personally come by to go over everything with my mother and then bailed last minute without notice. Since then it's been impossible to speak to anyone at the company and no one has been by apart from someone taking away used boxes.

I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy and I would give them 0 stars if it were possible. They don't care about your belongings and they don't care if anything happened to them - After all, any damages are covered by their insurance company and there's no incentive for them to hire reliable personnel or take any care.

Mike and his crew (including Tiny Tim) did an outstanding job in delivering our furniture. Polite, careful with some very breakable items, willing to go the extra mile. Weather was hot, rainy and humid and they did not complain a single bit. Made extra effort not to track dirt into the house. I don't think very positively of the moving industry having many bad experiences so that this delivery and setup went 100% smooth is especially appreciated.

I had the most stress-free experience possible. AMJ Campbell Kingston Moving Company was a pleasure to deal with. The Professional Relocation Consultant, Shane Dubbelman, made my entire move easy. As I don't drive, he even dropped off packing boxes to me. The moving team was friendly, efficient and had strong ethical principles (I accidentally paid a $100 more than required and they came back to return the money). At that time, I hadn t even realized my mistake. I can t say enough about this agency!

The move was done quickly and efficiently, and ontime. We were very satisfied.

Delivery was done on a day other than expected after a difficult time arranging it. The office staff were friendly on phone but delivery guys not so much. But they got things where they needed to be.

I recently used AMJ Campbell Kingston for my move. I have to say that I would give your Company 10 stars if I could. Every one that I dealt with was very professional. The guys worked very hard and were very courteous. Everything was wrapped extensively and we had absolutely no damage to furniture or the premises on both ends of the move. There is a ton of stress when you move but AMJ removed all that stress with a competent and professional group of movers. We moved in the pouring rain but they were able to keep everything completely dry. They took extremely good care of our carpet and hardwood floors on both ends by using a ton of rubber runners to protect our floors. The movers didn't take a break as they wanted to get finished on time. The quote was accurate and reasonable. This is the second time using AMJ and we will definitely use them again if the need arises. My hat is off to all of you at AMJ Campbell Kingston for a job very well done. Thank you.

We are so impressed with the service we received from AMJ Campbell. The estimate was accurate and the moving crew was an amazing team that were helpful and professional. They protected all of our items and furniture and worked late into the evening to complete our move. Not one single item was damaged. They took care to protect our floors and our property. We highly recommend this company. Price was significantly lower than quote we received from another company.

We used AMJ Campbell Kingston for our Sep 2 move. From beginning to end, the experience was 100% positive. David gave us an accurate estimate of time and price. Packing boxes and paper were available at a small cost compared to other sources. The men who came to move us were excellent personalities. All furniture and everything fragile was wrapped carefully. The move in apartment gave us a limited time for the move so the men had to work at top speed to finish on time. I could not have asked for a better experience. This was the first time I ve hired professional movers, and was nervous doing so given some of the horror stories I ve heard in the news.

But I couldn t be happier with the service provided by AMJ Campbell for my move from Toronto to Kingston. My three man crew of Jim, Jeff, and Geordie were phenomenal. They arrived on time, were extremely courteous, were very careful will all of my belongings and couldn t have worked any harder and faster.

They made moving in the middle of a pandemic quick, easy, and stress free. It was a fair price and worth every penny. My belongings are currently in storage here in Kingston and I will absolutely hire AMJ again when it comes time to move my belongings to my next home!

We have used AMJ Campbell for several moves over the past three decades. Regardless of the cities that we moved to and from, the skill, professionalism and service has always been exceptional.

The 3 gentlemen who delivered my couch today were so nice. Dealing with Bad Boy furniture has been a nightmare and their policies prevent AMJ from coming in the house. I am appreciative of the compassionate men who delivered today. They followed the procedures that Bay Boy set out for them. It s not their fault that Bad Boy will only allow curbside drop off in the middle of winter and not notify their consumers. I would definitely recommend this company but not Bad Boy!

I have used AMJ Campbell Kingston for both in town and out of town moves. In both cases they came to our home prior to the move in order to give us an accurate quote. As well, they supplied us with lightly used boxes a few weeks before moving day. On moving day, they accommodated us by stopping at two places to pick up our belongings. They also made extra sure that artwork and breakables were well packaged and wrapped. I felt that the cost was appropriate for the service received. I have already, and would continue to recommend, this moving company to friends and family.

Honest company - quick customer service as well as moving service. Friendly, professional and considerate with your items - I had a lot of awkward art pieces and furniture that they handled well. My first time using a full-service moving company - I'm happy. Thanks guys.

I almost had a really good moving experience with AMJ. I've used them before for moving and never had any complaints but this time was different, unfortunately.
The problem was that instead of 3 men showing up around 9am, 2 men showed up closer to 11am. The good thing was that those 2 guys were excellent and I even gave them a $100 tip which is really good because it turns out they only get paid just above minimum wage and the lion's share of the hourly rate (about $120 per hour) actually goes to the company.
So the move took longer than estimated (only 2 men instead of 3) and it cost way more than it should have. Or could have.
But other than that I do usually like AMJ for moving, just not this time.

My family and I moved back to Kingston after living in South Western Ontario for several years and they made this move the best experience I've ever had with any moving company. The company took care of everything for us and are the nicest and most understanding people. Thank you AMJ for making this move seamless.

Communicate with hem twice with 2 different media s so I can get my boxes picked up. The 2 times I have been transferred to someone who didn t make any follow up. I now have to get rid of it by myself. It s unfortunate cause the move went well but this kind of situation leaves a bad taste in your mouth. I would not recommend this company.

Very considerate people! Their customer service and empathy is outstanding! I had mistakenly packed my passport in storage and had a trip planned to visit my daughter. They even let me access my storage...with a really nice smile! I got the passport and resolved the issue completely because of these wonderfully kind, understanding, compassionate people! After a couple days they inexplicably charged me an extra $200 dollars without warning me. I had ultralight material. Because they have my credit card, they can do whatever they want. Consumer Protection should take a look. Lilia

This was a short local move but AMJ Campbell staff handled everything with care and professionalism. We were very pleased with our experience and would not hesitate to recommend them.

The entire crew from the office staff to the movers are top notch. Very professional, careful and show great care in what they do. This last move (Oct 24,2020) was of no exception. They made what could be a hectic day the complete opposite. No stress, no worry, they got the job done quickly and efficiently. The men I had (3) did more than just move my belongings. Mike, tightened up a table top and a couple of other things for me along the way. I couldn t have asked for a better experience.

AMJ Campbell is my preferred moving company. I have used others in the past and have been disappointed with the overall service quality and billing surprises. Not the case with AMJ. Their estimates are extremely accurate. Their service is top notch. They arrive on time, are very careful with all items to be moved and go above and beyond to deliver a worry free move. Clown operation. Called me to set up delivery day/time stay home, miss 2 kids practices. No call, no delivery. 4 days later I get a phone call. Sorry, our systems were crossed which means we don t care but this will be our excuse today. Next time I will make sure to find out who handles deliveries before I make a purchase. If you are going to hire movers to move your home, do yourself a favour and hire AMJ. They are extremely professional, did an amazing job, took extra care with all my belongings, did not put even the smallest dent in anything at either home. They were on time, organized and didn t waste time. You might think you ll save money using a smaller company. You won t. The prices are even better than an independent mover who will tag you with ridiculous charges. I can t say enough good things about AMJ and their crew. Don t shop around. Book them right now. My items where in storage for over 2 years and when i received my stuff to my house everything was documented and i received it in excellent Condition.

Absolutely awful!! They moved us a few years ago, and I still am angry about the damage to my hardwood floors they made in my home and the mirrors etc that they dropped and broke! They then had the nerve to say we should have bought extra insurance for them to make good on these items!

Honestly I cannot say enough about the professionalism of the team at AMJ Campbell. I am always very stressed on moving days but this time just meeting and watching the 3 man crew in action relaxed me.
The guys were very polite, hard working, neat, fun, friendly and took such good care of our things - they went above and beyond making sure everything was put where we wanted it, wrapped and unwrapped - and they were FAST, too.

The initial costs were over-estimated but that's likely because we had things in a storage unit which the estimator had to kind of guess at. So, the great news was the whole thing ended up costing less than we budgeted for.

Dealing with AMJ Campbell was a pleasure from beginning to end. We call and asked for someone to come to our apartment in Kingston to give us an estimate on the cost of loading and moving our furniture to Red Deer Alberta. Trevor was so informative and professional when he was in our home and told us just how things would done and said he would have an estament in a couple of days. He called us and we went into his office and signed the contracted. He told us exactly when the load would arrive out west
The fellows were extreamly nice packing and unpacking and very carefull with our furniture. We would deffinately recommend and use them again for a short move if needed. Thanks so much fellows.

We decided to go with this mover because the reviews appeared favourable overall even though they're price was not as competitive. The crew was on time for the move however were very slow and took frequent brakes almost immediately before the truck was close to loaded. They made it known they were unhappy to not have a third man on the job and consequently were rough with our furniture and upon unpacking our boxes we discovered broken items and dishes that were well packed and marked fragile. We moved into a new build apartment that we were the first tenant to live there but when I pointed out scrapes to the walls and a chip out of the door frame they were insistent it wasn't them even though prior to they're arrival I had to do a walk through with the superintendent. The older of the two men was pleasant but the rude younger man who I was told had already given his resignation and was leaving the company should not have been on the job. I realize movers have a tough job but they are aware of that before being hired. I just received my considerably higher invoice than the estimate, I guess that's what you should expect when you give your credit card number in advance.

Had a recent local door to door move with AMJ. Although I regularly recommend AMJ and have used them for long distance moves myself this is the first time I've used their local service. My rep, David Ringrose, was very helpful when planning my move and was very accurate in estimating the time that would be required. Really nice guy too!
The team of movers that came to my home were polite, helpful, fast and efficient! What more could I ask for?
The price for service was reasonable and I was happy with the outcome. I will continue to recommend AMJ to clients for both long distance and local moves!
