Greetham Valley Golf, Hotel and Conference Centre Review

Brilliant few days with Lady Captain Janette Marshall and ladies of Chatsworth Golf Club.

Fantastic day out on the Valley course with my ex Brother in Law who visiting from Oz & hadn't played Greetham for 8 or 9 years.
Course was brilliant as usual & greens in brilliant condition " great job by the green keepers "
Friendly staff..Quality food & a pint afterwards... excellent all round

A nice venue which is not too far off the A1. There are 2 courses, the lakes and Valley. The Lakes is the longer of the two.
The Clubhouse is lovely and plenty of food options available.
The pro shop is very friendly and helpful staff abound.
The golf course drains well and views are lovely, well worth a visit.

Good venue for weekend golf break with two courses available. Lakes is the more interesting of the two, but Valley no walkover.

I stayed here for the night when attending a function so that i didn't need to drive home and could enjoy a few beverages with the meal.
Clean comfortable room, buffet style English breakfast available for a small fee.
Views over the golf course, sat watching deer on the course whilst I drank my complimentary tea/coffee in the morning before breakfast.
Friendly helpful staff and a pleasant stay.

Haven't played for over 7 years so gave the par 3 course a go. Really enjoyed it & the staff in the pro shop were most welcoming & helpful. Will be visiting again soon.

Great courses and facilities. The staff are fantastic and the food was great. Good value weekend of Golf thoroughly recommend.

Fantastic place to bring young people who are learning golf. Very welcoming and child friendly in clubhouse, academy course and driving range. Great value.

2 very good golf courses, both different.
Hotel room clean and tidy and menu very good.

Beautiful grounds. Rooms clean, bed comfy, shower hot and powerful. Food pretty good. Building and decor characterless. They forgot to book the taxi I asked for when I checked out so I missed my train.

Two challenging courses, both with standout holes. And both with great 18s with tricky greens to finish on. The clubhouse has a nice bar, doing nice meals, and a restaurant menu too. The rooms in the main hotel are massive, but I've only stayed in the double room in the past. I would recommend for a getaway weekend, with Stamford and Oakham not far away.

Very pleasant location. Good views. Very good food. Good value for money. Helpful and cheerful staff. Advisable to book ahead for a table. Excellent stop off for lunch if you are walking the area, though do bring a change of footwear. A lovely log fire if you can get close to it!
Well worth a visit.

Lovely place to sit outside with your dog and have a meal followed by a long walk.

Enjoyed both courses. Very good food and friendly staff. The only downside was the lodges don't have all ensuite bathrooms. But all in all really enjoyed it.

Lovely staff .clean and bright plus 2 well cared for golf courses .as well as all the golfing add ons .well stocked shop, buggies, driving range. Professional help if required.

Room was great with a lovely view of the golf course. Bed and pillows were really comfortable making a great nights sleep. We would highly recommend using the restaurant and having the Black Rock steak which are served cooking on a hot lava rock so you can cook to you own taste, we really enjoyed it.

Good location for exploring the towns around Rutland Water. Clean and welcoming great for the golfers in the party

Attended a wedding reception there today and was very impressed with the setting and service. The food was very good indeed and the staff were excellent too.

Great round of golf and lovely well looked after course

Another great Christmas party. Enjoyed Christmas dinner and of course the hound dogs were incredible!

Played golf on a society do. Great course (valley), but weather made it very wet with patches of standing water on fairways and some greens. The weather is not the courses fault and it will be beautiful in the summer. Nice steak pie in the bar afterwards too.

Food good rooms good golf courses in great nick. Greens quick. Staff friendly as ever. 3rd time for me and best I've seen it.

Great courses, fabtastic facilities, however the prices for food and drinks are quite ludicrous. Apart from that, it's a fantastic golf course

Very friendly staff and the courses are great fun to play on. Plenty of competitions through the year keeps you interested in the game.

Great place, 2 awesome golf courses , food is excellent, good value for golf breaks,also have chalets for quiet country break for non golfers.

Attended a company meeting here. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was pleasant enough. Stunning views of the course from both the meeting room and the restaurant.

Stayed in one of the lodges on a golf trip. Lakes course is the flatest of the two and easiest walking but the valley course is far superior in our opinion, lots of changes in elevation, dramatic par 3s and although we would advise a buggy, it really was great fun to play.

Excellent facility. Courses in good condition. Friendly helpful staff. Great value. Unlike some privately owned enterprises where you get the feeling it's just the owners cash cow here you could see plenty of instances of ongoing investment and it certainly made a difference. We will be back.

A nice well organised venue. Went for a golf weekend, two courses, good layout. Driving range.
Food is decent. Breakfast is not the best the food is fine, but pots are left empty for too long and you have to wait 10-15 minutes for eggs.
Being a multi activity venue the place is quite busy with many groups.
Staff are friendly and efficient.

I go to Greetham for the golf coaching which is 2nd to none ..Neil the pro is amazing, he knows how to get the best out of you & has a knack of ironing out the not so good bits. the only reason I have given a 4 star is that the club house is outdated, it has nothing going for it really!

Very enjoyable golf. The valleys course more interesting than the lakes course. Good facilities.

Another lovely stay, great room, recently refurbished. Had a meal in the evening. Delicious vegetarian filo parcel with spinach, feta and mushroom. Very clean hotel, lovely friendly staff. We will be back!..breakfast was good too!

Always a pleasure to play your two courses and last weekend we weren't disappointed.

A very nice stay at Greenhaugh Valley. The hotel staff were very helpful and nothing was to much trouble. The food was excellent and accommodation clean and tidy. Views of the lakes and course impressive. 15 minutes drive to Rutland water and easy access to the A1 motorway.

With all the bad weather we gave the Valleys course a try. Would recommend to anyone. Even came off without mud on trousers and shoes lol

Really cool place. Have stayed in the lodges here quite a few times and cannot recommend them enough - they're quite cozy!
Have not played on it and do not play golf much, but the golf course looks quite good. Have not stayed in the hotel part but from people who have, I have heard it is pleasant as well.

The view and scenery here is very nice! Very green and would be great to get away from an urban view for a bit!
