It was a wonderful moment. The food was exceptional.
in the heart of the City, restaurant with terrace
very nice
Went there for a product launch event. The venue is really nice, and even though the weather was dreadful, our "balcony" was really good as it is covered and they had tent-like walls up.
Wonderful time for Valentine s Day. A return trip tonight with a few friends. Lovely server Reg looked after us. Impeccable service and friendly staff
Matt
LOVED THIS PLACE.
If you are looking to go for dinner somewhere special I will definitely recommend Coq d Argent.
We went there for my girlfriend birthday celebration and everyone made us fell so special, we just like to thank everyone who made us feel so welcome.
Breakfast was ok, pastries were a bit dry. Croque Madame was a bit too big for my liking.
Good food, attentive staff. Attended on one of the busiest evenings of the year, so was busy but place coped well.
Family birthday Sunday afternoon meal ..perfect place, fabulous food, great staff, somelie made our meal for us. Lovely rooftop bar with some excellent views across London. Highly recommended
We had a delicious brunch (grand dejeuner) - the food and quality was so good! Lovely spot and staff
It was my first visit here today and it was a business lunch. The service's featured menu was brief, but all the dishes were incredible. It was displayed around the lovely roof gardens, ...
Very nice but food is not worth the money I don't think.
The weekend Parisian feast is worth it just for the unlimited oysters! The outdoor dining is lovely and feels secluded, while the city views from the terrace are stunning!
The main course is rather disappointing though. My pan-fried cod was way too salty and I couldn't finish it... and neither could another friend who ordered the same.
Lovely food and great rooftop but a bit pricey for what you're getting!
One of the nicest, if a bit small, steaks ive had outside of a Goodmans or Blacklock specialist.
Service friendly, though a bit of confusion over the wine list which is on a qr app, except it isn't.
Amazing views.
Awful vegan options that honestly taste like they are from tesco. The one star is for the service staff who are very good at their jobs. Tired looking interior that looks like a regional Novotel.
Set high above the City, this beautiful outside rooftop space gives wonderful views, and a sense of escape away from the hustle and bustle. Great food and wines and the service is excellent. Great place for a long lunch.
The service and specialy the somelier were brilliant
LOVELY food, excellent service, we had beef cheeks (very tender!) with green beans and fillet with blue cheese sauce (which wasnt on the menu, but the chef agreed to make it) and super crunchy french fries, it was all so good! And raspberry white chocolate pudding, again, fingerlicking good!
Great atmosphere and the weekend Parisian feast is excellent value
Very luxurious place, amazing view over London and price adequate to the place
Excellent restaurant. They served contemporary French dishes. I heard it was very costly but not that expensive.
No beers on tap, pretty expensive and the only place with the views over the city was locked
Nice rooftop garden but no seats. Seating area is pretty but you won't get a view!
The furniture through the bar are is old and worn, definitely seems like it needs a renovation. I went in with a group of friends and were not dressed up after having visited several times previously. We were served extremely slowly and with foul attitude from the staff compared to the people around us. I will not go back.
I went for dinner recently and whilst the service was ok. My friend and I experienced severe food poisoning. We both ordered oysters and chateaubriand and 24hrs later we were both in a really bad way. I was housebound for 2-3 days. I contacted the restaurant to let them know and it was noted and that was the end of the matter as far as they were concerned. Not received a single call or concern for our wellbeing. Very poor on Coq D'argent part.
Food and service here is incredible. The Tuna Sashimi is by far the starter of choice. Unfortunately only ever been in the rain so not benefited from the views yet. Certainly going back again ..... and again
Good food. Just over priced. Drinks are also soooo expensive
Amazing, vibrant place! Food is excellent. Service as well. The garden makes it an awesome and relaxed experience.
Lovely meal last night. Ordered from the set menu, but plenty of choice and decent-sized portions. Looking forward to returning soon.
Not considered for 30 minutes. Food arrived cold and staff got seriously rude when we mentioned that, avoid please
Upscale restaurant and bar. Great place for an afternoon drink on the terrace. Food is good if a little pricey.
Disappointing visit today - outside on the terrace (nice enough even in winter) seemed to be outside the orbit of any decent service. We had a half-hour wait to place an order then the starters were delivered (forgot one) within minutes followed by tables cleared before the last guest had finished. A half hour wait for main course (waiter had to return to double check the order and the wine choice during this period). Then the bill was delivered with 2 more bottles of water than we received. All the time, the terrace was being cleared around us for a private party with tables being upended and wheeled past. Food was OK - shame about the second-class stop/start service.
Less than impressed.
Booked for a celebration, months in advance for 11 guests
Attempted to reserve seating outside (at the time) and was told that you can't do this and was told that this wouldn't be a problem at the time of day we were arriving (4pm). On arrival, find multiple reserved tables and am told that corporate customers can do this, but everyone else , despite paying deposits, can't. Really impressive!!
Had a 13 year old in the party, asked for the children's menu, only to be told that it was for 12 and below.
Positives, food was good and service when there was excellent, but would say go elsewhere if you are planning a large family celebration as they are over priced and make life difficult needlessly and feel that they don't need to make customers feel welcome and do basics.
Call the Oxo, for better, views and an easy and helpful booking service that puts the customer at the heart of what they do and not try to squeeze more money out of you and recognises that customers are customers, whether corporate or not
Location, food, drinks, view, all fab. Great for business or romance.
Massively overpriced and pretentious. Good location and nice views.
South American waiter after approaching him to ask for attention at our table tells me that unfortunately he got other tables to serve and the bar is inside so I can order there... if that s the service I am receiving it s definitely not the place to be back!
If that is not enough. Then bartender arrived just to inform us that the bar is closed at 11:43PM. Just a quick info. Thanks
Lovely views from the top floor terrace of London at night. Food and drink were excellent with good service with an interesting space plan to the restaurant.
Lamb shank came out within 2 minutes of ordering. Seems microwaved and very dry and chewy. Service was good and so was the view. The bread was cooked fresh and warm.
Avoid cocktail because they are made with 95% of ice, 3% juice and 2% alcool !
Excellent service and location. Great deal for the Sunday Roast. A must go when the terrace is open with good weather
I went here with my colleague for lunch. The walk was very convenient because of the location. It was a good day, and they have both outside and inside seating area. Good ambiance. They also have fixed 2 or 3 courses menu. Most amazing thing even though French cuisine, they had separate vegan menu. The service was good as well. Not too pricey for the kind of options you get.
A really nice and welcoming place to have a business lunch. Good service levels and the food was excellent. Thanks
Reassuringly expensive. NB- If you visit - DON'T JUMP!
Great food, service of the highest quality and a wonderful rooftop
Excellent food which is good value for money - we went for the lunchtime set menu which was beautiful and reasonably prices. I appreciated the lovely relaxed service, not at all stuffy unlike some lesser restaurants. Recommended.
A surprise in the depths of the city. A ledger's throw from the Bank of England and the over-rated Royal Exchange lies Coq D'Argent. The very name is redolent of the 1980s - wide red braces and braying city boys - but the truth is different.
Highly recommended for a pleasant lunch somewhere a little bit different.
The food was great unfortunately they had a large family of about 12 with 8 kids who were rude loud and badly behaved they ranged from 3 to 8 the kids kept running to the buffet and sucking on the lemon slices left in the bowel for the oysters and prawns and salmon they the kids also kept drinking the water or ice water from the ice buckets they and parents who spent over 3 hours with out ordering a main at the self help buffet obviously scum who have no manners repeatedly went up for over 3 hours they certainly got there money's worth we asked to move due to noise even thougth the other side next to us was empty the whole time we were there they the restaurant would not allow us to move so we had to endure brats and noise and obviously scummy parents not pleasant would not go back food was great but that experience was spoilt for us
If you want to have a view of the city from above without spending money, this is the perfect compromise.
The restaurant has no soul, several different servers attend the same table, barely smiling.
The food is simple
Mouse of lamb with only fat. I do not understand how the cook could send this dish full of fat ... a shame!
after kindly reflecting to a server that does not react, do not apologize
we were "balanced" macaroons ... (which we did not eat) on the table "it's a gift" sentence of the server, I hallucinated
I do not recommend this restaurant
I'm used to luxury restaurants
But this restaurant is low-end.
115 for two drinks, a bottle of water, two starters, two courses. Correct price
Fantastic spot for a mid week lunch. The pulpo starter was the star for me.
Bit of a rip off - there are nicer places around bank
Fantastic location in the heart of the financial city with a beautiful view considering it is on a rooftop. All English food and courtesy, albeit with many Italian waiters
Excellent atmosphere and very good service. Not sure the prices are quite justified, but would recommend for a special occasion.
Haven't had dinner there but go often to the terrace. It's quite lovely and big, with different "scenes" where you can sit or stand. Thorough Corona protocol.
Lovely rooftop, especially in the summer. The food is amazing and beautiful wine.
while you can't quibble with the victuals, the service brings haughty to new heights.
Beautiful atmosphere and staff and wine both lovely, really liked it!
It's been a while since I went, but the place is top notch and very fine. Food was very good and no doubt still is.
Nice place for after work drinks. Beautiful views over the city. Very busy on Thursday and Friday evening.
Food was good and the location is nice, the portions are quite small for the price. Staff were really friendly, overall we had a good time.
Great ambience and good food.. All the unethical foodies must try the foei gras.. Its just divine.
Also great external terrace for summer hangouts.
