Went there for my birthday. Not only was the food fantastic and fairly priced, but the service was superb.
Waiters noticed that it was my birthday, brought extra pralines for us and accommodated for any request.
Brilliant experience

This is the kind of place that you get disappointed when the service is really bad. In a nutshell, it was like a visiting a Pub - you have to ask/push the waiters to get your drinks. You pay for service, bad was the worst service ever, if you like to visit fancy, elegant or outstanding places in London. View is great, service is really bad (20-25 mins waiting to receive beer and a glass of wine), food ...mmm no comments.

Great restaurant, the taste is authentic with an appealing "dressage", the size is also very balanced, not too big, not to light. Nice and available waiters. Good choice of wines too. I'm very happy!

Fantastic location. Obviously it's been around for ages, but nothing gets boring when you can sit out on that terrace. Only went for drinks so can't speak for the food, but all the service was very attentive. Highly recommend it

Had drinks here on 21/08. Arrived and were directed by a nice bouncer man to the left hand side terrace to have some drinks. We were told we would have table service there. After 5 minutes of being ignored we asked for a menu, the waiter brought one copy over and immediately asked what we'd like to drink. Well we'd like to look at the menu first I think? The setting was really nice and cocktails were tasty, however, we felt extremely put off by the said waiter who, after we told him our drinks order, tried to get us to order something else (we weren't asking for suggestions) and then as soon as we had received the cocktails brought a card machine to our table and said we had to pay for these right away. We were going to stay for a few rounds of cocktails but decided to leave as it felt so rude being interrupted like this in the middle of our conversation and enjoying our drinks. Working in hospitality industry myself, I understand company policies and avoiding walk outs but at the end of the day your main priority should be making the guest feel welcome and wanting them to stick around and come back again?? Did not get that vibe here at all. Very expensive and service not worth the price tag in the slightest! Go to the Brigadiers around the corner for a fantastic time and amazing service from the talented and professional bar servers who understand the importance of making their guests feel welcome and valued.

Good service but food and ambience lacking. Dishes lacked any real depth or interest. Wine lost overpriced with no sensible options. The goats cheese tart was nice enough but lacked textures and the steak was tough beyond compare. Not worth the hype.

Great place to visit. If you dont know it exists then I would definitely recommend that you go. Really good French food with a very extensive wine list. It has a great atmosphere and really good service !

Went there with a few friends, the staff were accommodating and a bit busy, understandably it was a Friday night but they were helpful. The food was simply amazing! The lamb shank tore off from the bones! It was divine. The wine selection was great & the desserts were delicious! I ll definitely go back and enjoy the view from the rooftop!

A magnificent site in London, located in the city and frequented mostly by bankers and other species in the area, but it is also spectacular for couples dinner, with views of London at night from its terraces (heated). The food is purely French and they execute it perfectly. Braised chicken and wine pears are crazy. The service is unfortunately slow.

I dropped my silver bracelet at this place. The next morning i called the restaurant and spoke to Dominica who confirmed that it was found and was on her desk for it to be logged and safely stored in the lost property room for my collection. when my husband went to collect the item, the staff said we have misplaced your item. He asked how could you misplace it and the staff responded by saying we must have dropped it while taking it to the lost property room. the Manager has since then only been trying to apologise and give me example scenarios of what may have happened, which are not acceptable. This is not the kind of service expected by such a place. If the intention of the restaurant was not to return the Lost item in the first place then they should not have confirmed the finding of it and i would have built a bridge and got over it. the fact that they found it, logged it and stored it safely but nevertheless went missing does not add up and is extremely upsetting as one would expect the people of such a place to be integral!

its a very traditional environment but if your in the city its a very solid option for lunch or dinner. The bar is also a venue in itself, both inside and in the summer around the roof gardens. I would strongly recommend it.

Chose d'Argent for our anniversary. Meal was enjoyable, and setting lovely; what made the evening however, was the service. Greg, the manager made alterations to the service to acknowledge our anniversary, without promoting. Little touches like that make a tremendous difference. Would recommend in a heartbeat.

Disappointed
I used to go to Coq a lot but the service has hit rock bottom. The bar tenders were so rude. They ignored me and my sister (seemed to only want to serve Bankers), we then asked for the full wine list and they pretended they didn t have one. We had to ask 3 times and practically have a disagreement before they eventually slammed it down. They were cocky, rude and unprofessional. This tarnished our night.

However, the food was excellent and our waiters were very nice, but the waiters still struggled in the restaurant. A table next to us had to keep asking for their wine (held away from them), our drinks ended up on another table so ours were then delayed and I was short changed.

Hopefully they can turn it around.

I had a great time here, this was my first visit at the Bank branch and I will definitely be back again. The customer service was faultless - the views and ambience were great and the food was delicious, I particularly enjoyed my dessert!

I'm sure the food and drinks at this place is great, it's a shame We just never had a chance to taste it as not a single waiter or waitress even just looked in our direction the 20 minutes we spent there. That said the place is beautiful which is why we decided to go, but the front house service was absolutely terrible.

Delicious Parisian feast. Lots of choice with starters and desserts. Two roast meat options, two fish, one veggie. Only two minor niggles, Yorkshire was a little tough, and there was not enough gravy, although we didn't actually ask for more. The roast potatoes were excellent as was the beef and lamb. Really like this place. Staff are excellent, friendly and professional

The service was quite slow in terms of getting the drinks order. We ordered a bottle of red wine and the glasses were definitely not for red (there were short glasses with a small bowl, more appropriate for white wine or champagne), contrasting with the tall, large bowl glasses that the people next to us had.
We had steak for main without a starter and we were served bread and butter twice. We thought this was complimentary. Well, it wasn't! At the end they charged us two items of "cover charge", being the couple pf portions of bread and butter).
The steak was cold and it was medium rare (almost rare), although we requested it to be medium. There was only one portion of chips and one small salad between the two of us, definitely not enough.

The experience was topped up by another waiter who asked us to leave the table and finish our drinks in the bar. This happened just 2-3 minutes after paying the bill and 1h40' after we arrived to the restaurant. We ordered from a la carte menu, not set menu, early-bird menu or any other low-value menu which might have entitled them to such a treatment.
Otherwise, the view from the terrace is nice ( not breath-taking tough), however this won't make me come back here again.

Pleasant spot. You expect lovely views you ll get but not next to your table, as the rooftop is surrounded by a big thick wall. Didn t try the food, but cheers for finding a place with no reservation and outdoors on a sunny London day!
