The had a nice coffee but not the best! I gave them 4 stars for their goods. The pastries, sandwiches and desserts are amazing . When I had the labna sandwich, it was different then The one I had in the Middle East but I really recommended!

I get the Caramelized Onion pizza every Friday for a weekly pizza night. It is my favorite pizza that I have had in DC so far. It is similar to focaccia. Their baked goods are also delicious. I recommend the carrot cake cupcake and the omg bar!

Complete disappointment! I'm a neighbor of A Baked Joint and used to visit frequently until I finally got fed up and trust me, I don't miss it! The food is underwhelming and extremely over priced ($5-6 for an ice-cream sandwich?!?) Customer service is inconsistent... honestly I've only experienced good customer service once and all the times I've been there. Food, price, customer service and consistency are the main things that make a good restaurant and so far A Baked Joint has zero out of the four.

A great place if you want to spend a lot of money on quality goods and treats. But blame pricey real estate not this amazing spot with great staff that always takes care of you and creates coffee as artwork. The space offers many seating options and the outside area is just great. I would say the baked goods are always fresh and they make the best sandwiches.

I went on a Sunday for breakfast and arrived at opening time because I was told the line becomes a behemoth...it did, but we were already seated and served. I ordered the Creme Brulee French Toast and it didn't disappoint. My friend had the same along with a latte, which he enjoyed. Overall, nice atmosphere and fast service.

The Baked Joint is becoming the local hang out spot in an emerging neighborhood in between Chinatown and NoMa. It's owned by Georgetown's Baked & Wire (where the locals love to get their DC cupcakes), but this location is more accessible. It's HUGE with plenty of seats of all kinds from benches to tables to soft chairs. They offer a wide selection of quality drinks (my iced latte was on point), pastries and sandwiches. The staff are quick and efficient.

The only thing to keep in mind is that they don't have wifi. If you need wifi, go to nearby Busboys & Poets, Chinatown Coffee Company, or Maketto on H Street NE.

Hip and bustling with lively people. Food is comforting while maintaining a taste of fresh flavor. Staff are friendly and kind. A Baked Joint is a great spot for first dates, getting work done, or simply catching up with friends.

I walked in and had to wait in a very long line. The line moved quickly and it was quite Pleasant to be there.
I ordered a cappuccino and a biscuit breakfast. I placed my order and then I had to find a seat. after a few minutes they called my name so I went up and collected my drink. It took about 7 more minutes for the food to be ready so I picked it up and back down at my table to enjoy my breakfast. My cappuccino was strong but not bitter and quite tasty
. I had ordered biscuit with goat cheese and fried egg. The goat cheese was lovely however egg was over cooked and the biscuit was raw, soggy and under cooked in the center. Overall an okay experience

Thoroughly enjoyed the Pernil (Roast pork) Sandwich I ordered. Kinda small sandwich BUT It has a LOT of meat! Seems like this would be a nice place to enjoy lunch with friends but due to Covid-19 of course, no eating inside. Service was good. Decor was quite nice. Kinda busy that day but it was FAST!

There are many things to enjoy about this bakery and coffee shop. The coffee is great and the breads/pastries are amazing. I had a macchiato and a piece of banana bread and both were top notch. The atmosphere is chill and the space is large. It's visually interesting inside the store with many details to focus on. There are also many seating types and standing tables for a faster visit.

I ordered a bowl of soup around 4:30 pm on a Friday. The soup was good and I ate quickly in about 15 minutes because I had a 5 pm meeting to catch. I put my bowl away and sat back down to wait for my laptop to shut down. Immediately, a waiter set a sign on my table saying that tables are for eating customers only and, something to the effect of, it's time to politely leave. I could see no one waiting for a table and nor anyone in line to order food. I had been inside for less than 20 minutes total....The soup was good and ambience was nice, but this experience really rubbed me the wrong way. Also no wifi so....I'll find a different cafe next time!

Never had a bad meal here. Their cold brew is fantastic, doesn't need anything added to it. LOVE the breakfast biscuit sammies, could eat them every day. I've had their ice cream sandwich before- also amazing! Must go!

Monica and Deno finally visited A Baked Joint. We have frequented Baked & Wired since it opened in 2001! The atmosphere, service, staff are all fantastic. We will be there again; when we are not at Georgetown. Nice visit and photo-op with Zak.

We ordered two pizzas from A Baked Joint: Spinach and Artichoke and Prosciutto.

Light fluffy airy crust with nice crispy bottom (like Detroit style pizza)
Large pizza cut into slices of about 2-3 square bites (love!)
Every ingredient on every square bites
Just as good, if not better, properly reheated the next day
Marinara sauce tasted like Pizza Hut's red sauce
Bechamel sauce added texture but not flavor

Ok I agree it has excellent coffee. Food is above average but nothing exceptional. I had BLT and found it really needed to be properly toasted rather then how it was presented as lightly heated.

Victim of its own success in terms of how busy it is.

Very cool environment, great beverages (we got a capp and a matcha latte) and pretty good food (though portions on the smaller side for price point). Came here for brunch - very busy but line moves fast. Staff are skilled and friendly. Great vibes all around! Will return.

Worth the long lines. Delicious breakfast and lunch sandwich options on homemade bread, as well as very good drinks (including Thai iced tea). Salads, yogurt, cookies and other tasty options are available as well. Outside seating is nice if you can snag a table.

I was recommended to this place, I was blown away by how good everything was that I tasted. Definitely pricy for a low income person like myself. But I would love to revisit this place....... everything was good

I love everything about this place. The location, architecture, decor, food, presentation, serving sizes, employees, clientele, music played, decent sound of speakers, quiet but discernable volume of the music, etc. My new favorite place.

Maybe my favorite coffee shop ive found in a city away from home. Great coffee and food, but the ambiance was next level. A super diverse scene that made you feel welcome and great reconditions. Music was on point!

Great coffee space. The layout is much more roomy than Baked and Wired with more food options. Nice place for a quick lunch and coffee with friends.

**The downside: No Wi-fi. Not the place to work with your laptop. :(
