This is an awesome restaurant. A great atmosphere and nice location. You can sit out on the patio and watch airplanes take off and land. Or dine inside and enjoy amazing food. The theme of the restaurant is cool and just a really nice place. I love to take people who have never been here and they all really enjoy the experience. I would highly recommend going here if you have never been. Or if you have you should keep coming!

As a former employee, this review is more streamlined to discuss how it was to work there. I worked there for a very short time. Ultimately I lost my job for two consecutive 'no call, no shows'. Although I was given the opportunity to prove the reason for my absence (a weekend getaway at one if the areas finest county jails), I opted to take advantage of an opening to leave. Run as far away as I can from the Chef/General Manager, 'Greg'. This guy is wound up so tightly, it's surprising he doesn't fall over and have a coronary. He is a very angry person. He berates employees in plain view of other employees. He walks around with a chip on his shoulder. If this man hates working there, he should leave. The food from what I saw there was definitely top notch. Some sanitary standards need be improved. The poor guy they have working on the fry station is gonna get someone sick. He's very new to the culinary world and hasn't been shown properly the ins and outs of safe food handling.

The drive from the main road to the restaurant is long enough to help you transition to another place in time, another mindset. We took our grandson for lunch on the patio where we could see the planes take off and land. Very pleasant experience, the food was above average with decent pricing. (I am writing this just after covid 19 restrictions were lifted). Will definitely go back!

This is by far some of the best food I have ever tasted in my life. The idea and concept of flight applied to food is genius. It is definitely on my list of things to do in Memphis. To be honest, I might just come back for lunch and then breakfast again tomorrow. Flights should be everywhere.

Love this Place, the Food, Staffs are all Awesome! And the Intimacy in the inside & outside; I can't leave out the Militaries Outerfacts are Beautifully Displays! We (George NAVY MOMS) have met here several Times for Luncheons Gathers on a Couple of Saturday! Ps: Its definitely the place you want be at & I forgot to mention the View of Preach Tree Airport next!

This place is big enough to get you a few of your favorite kinds of dinner atmospheres. One area has a few bar tops with an open area for dancing as well as a huge patio to watch airplanes take off and land at the adjacent Airport. This area has a weekly trivia night and happy hour specials and music. Another area has an additional bar top which is quieter and more intimate. Additionally it features several large rooms for private parties or events.

If you're tired of being inside you can also make a reservation to take a flight on an old era plane which looks awesome! Approaching the property is quite a sight too. They were very thoughtful when creating the World War II theme for this restaurant and the property. It's actually quite charming.

You've got to come see this place!

We sat outside to practice social distancing. It was a breezy day but very sunny. Only a few of the tables had umbrellas and those options would have put us too close to other people not in our group. It took awhile to get our drinks. I think our server was handling all of the tables by herself outside. By the time our food got to the table, we were very hot and had lost our appetites. Tracking down our server for to-go boxes and the check took about 10 minutes. They also forgot to bring the side that went with my entree.

This place was SOOOOOO COOL! Unique atmosphere and awesome vibe. I'd say you'd spend roughly 80 for a meal for 2. So a little spendy, but also don't get the green egg chicken. It's just a hunk of chicken, get something fancy or the chefs special that day. I about melted over the food though. So good!

Having grown up in the metro area, my family has come here infrequently over the years for the Sunday brunch buffet. Although it is still not bad and still has the familiar ambiance of having a nice view of the runway and WW2 historical vibe, the food quality/options from my most recent visit just weren't as good as I remember from past visits. Just as some points to note, the Sunday buffet back in the day used to include all-you-can-eat crab legs as well as champagne included with the meal (they now charge extra for it by the glass). I believe they closed up shop for a year and reopened a few years back, and since then it just hasn't been as good as I remember it being.

Overpriced brunch buffet. Food was mediocre at best. At $29 for adults and $19 for children, I expect a nice presentation, filled trays of food, food at good temperatures, and wait staff that don t look and act like they are at a dive bar.

We really enjoyed the atmosphere with the window seat as the planes landed on the strip next door. The food not only was very fast but was tasty as well. Service was the best I have had in a long time. To top it off there was a lot of great dancing going on. Thank you for a fantastic night.

Food is decent. Love the location right at the end of the PDK runway. Fun little spot to grab a drink. Definitely an older local crowd though. They have dancing on Friday nights which is funny and a decent brunch on Sundays.

The price and service was fantastic. My girlfriend loved her corned beef Reuben and fries. I loved the ginger salmon and collards! The view of the planes from our booth was amazing. We even had our adrealine rush alittle bit seeing planes take off and land.

Love the place! The food is great, especially their Sunday brunch. The shrimp bar is worth the price of admission! The entertainment is great. Service is very good. Well worth the price.

The Sunday Brunch was the perfect treat for my daughter. We booked a reservation before 11am and were able to get a window seat. Bryan and Vicki were the team of servers and they took great care of us. If you are interested in gorging yourself all day, then look no further than this all-you-can-eat brunch buffet. The real treat is all of the take-offs and landings from the airport runway right outside the restaurant. The decor was a nice touch as a former army brat that was posted in the European Theatre with my family back in the day. All the little touches make for a quaint experience. Very friendly atmosphere from all of the staff!

Came with family (we were visiting from UK) for a drink and to watch planes. Good selection of local craft beers and good. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice outdoor seatng/eating area. The inside space is also a nice environment. Aircraft themed place.

I can take the bad with the good and this place was both. I showed up alone on a Friday night about 7:15 p.m. A couple walked in just ahead of me and were seated immediately. While I was waiting for the hostess apparently something went wrong with that couple's seating arrangement and they returned to the reception area. I asked (manager? Owner?) for a seat by the window so I could watch the planes land and take off, but was told that since every seat is a window seat every view would be good.

The hostess returned. I repeated my request. She said there was a reservation for the table right by the window for a party of four. I pointed and said, "oh that one?" She said, "yes." I was then seated at a booth probably 25ft to the window. Decent view.

The couple who had just come in before me was quickly seated at the table by the window I just pointed to! The only other table by a window in that dining room was a four-top. I left about 8:15 p.m. and no one had used that table yet.

The waitress Patrice was nice. She seemed knowledgeable. The atmosphere was unique in many different ways (airstrip view, all ages, history, dance floor, bar, patio, dining room).

The food was average. But it appeared reasonably priced. I wish they had offered me a seat out on their gigantic patio as it was a mild night. But they never presented that alternative, even after expressing interest in being closer to the action. That disappoints me.

I would probably go back to give it another chance. But I would go with other people who were visiting from out of town as the experience is unique. Three stars because it had pros and cons. With tip I was out of there for $42.

The brunch buffet used to be excellent, but over the past few years it has declined. There seems to be not as great a variety. The biscuits were cold on a plate, rather than in a steamer, and there was no gravy, even though there was sausage on the buffet. The rare roast beef had little taste.

The restaurant isn't inexpensive, and little things like misspelled words on the menu or trays give a bad impression (i.e. Bake Tilapia instead of Baked Tilapia, Grill Cheese instead of Grilled Cheese, not knowing how to spell Chicken Stroganoff).

This restaurant is unique. A winding driveway takes you through woods and creates the impression of traveling back in time to a World War II airfield in a converted farmhouse. The ambience is wonderful and the staff is excellent. Top notch. They are, unfortunately, not enough to counteract the rest.

We went here for Father's day and the food in the service was amazing. I didn't realize how many planes flew out of the airport every day. The 57th airborne sandwich was amazing at how you would recommend anyone who comes here to get it. The chicken and waffles are so good I'll come back again just for that. I love how the The french toast had cinnamon toast crunch on it for the extra crispiness. I'll be back soon and recommend anyone to come here.
