I've been here once before for the buffet and I remember it being much better. A lot of empty trays, some food that was out was cold. They have a lot of selections, that is why I settled on 3 stars. For $30 I expect a little more. The food that was out and at the right temp was good. But for the atmosphere, and price I was hoping for, I expected more. Again I remember my first trip here a few years ago was much better, so maybe it is just kind of hit-or-miss.

Fun place. It definitely is a unique spot. Their WWII decoration will welcome you into a one-of-a-kind place. Food is good and the service very attentive. Not in many places you can see planes take off and land while you eat.

I led brothers and sisters from my Christian Motorcyclists Association chapter in Chattanooga, TN to the 57th on Saturday, October 17, 2020. Taking the back roads and really enjoying the ride and gorgeous day led to some pretty good hunger pangs by the time we arrived. We were greeted at the hostess stand, which for first time visitors, could have had a little better indication it's location. Nevertheless, she was super nice and personable. We asked for outside dining and she pointed to the patio.

We were promptly greeted, had our drink orders taken and given a few minutes to look over the menu. Everything sounded delicious but I settled on the 57th sandwich. It was piled high with pulled/shredded steak with grilled onions and beer cheese and I had fries as my side item. By the time I finished, I thought I would need a wheel barrow to carry my belly back to the motorcycle. LOL. Needless to say, they do not skimp on the portions.

I definitely recommend this restaurant for some great casual dining and some awesome nostalgia. Maybe, when you visit, there will be more air traffic in and out of PDK. It was a slow Saturday for general aviation I guess.

Our server, Brian, gave our appetizer to the wrong table. When we told him, he offered one free desert, half the cost of an appetizer. Then he gave one of our party's mashed potatoes to another table too. Total service time was 2 hours. Worst service I've ever had. Food was very good though.

Tricia Clancy, the general manager, says they are not kid friendly. The food was good however when we sat outside on the patio one evening before sunset, our kids 8-10 were at the fence watching the planes take off.The general manager ("Tricia") approached us and rudely told us that our "kids need to remain in their seats"! We watched her confront another family as well! If our food hadn't already arrived, we would have left and never come back. This was outside - there was a dance floor and adults were standing and watching the airport traffic. We won't be back and it's a shame! The previous ownership hired much more customer friendly management!

Excellent place with planes. A bit pricey but worth it. They sometimes have groupons and living socials that help alleviate the cost. I went with my ex girlfriend for Valentines Day. I absolutely loved watching the planes take off and land. Great atmosphere, kid friendly and amazing food.

A hidden jewel off the road. The wait staff and hostess were at the top of their game. The chicken and andouille burger with fries was good. Parking was great. I truly enjoyed the lunchtime meal.

Great outdoor ambiance. I like that the tables were spaced out enough in our area that I didn't feel crowded by other guests. We also did not feel rushed to dine and leave immediately and were therefore able to enjoy some time dancing. The fare was good and the prices were fair.

Went for the holiday brunch with a party of 6. Overall I was satisfied. Lots of options to choose from including a make your own waffle bar and an omelette bar. Being able to see planes take off and land was fun as well. Our waitress was amazing, very on top of things and able to keep up with our high demands (sorry about that, my family is nuts) and everyone else she had with a smile on her face. The place was clean and the personnel looked professional. 2 issues. 1st they have a swastika hanging in their entrance... I get it, it s suppose to go with the world war 2 pics but not the most politically correct thing to hang. My family and I were a little put off by it. 2nd why have me make a reservation if you re going to take 30 minutes to seat me anyway? Probably should have advertised it as a first come first serve type of thing. Anyway it was overall a good experience. I d just consider changing your decorum.

Hands down one of my favorite restaurants North of Atlanta. The most unique atmosphere of any place I have eaten, and has wonderful food and service. Drinks are reasonable, sit out on the deck and watch small planes take off and land. You can even charter a bi-plane flight ... amazing!!

Really nice atmosphere. The historical setting makes the dining fun. You can also oversee PDK airport and see planes landing and taking off. The food is very tasty. I've dined at this restaurant about 6 times and the food has consistently tasted supurb.

Great food and atmosphere! I loved the WWII theme. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. I ordered the Prime Rib, which was cooked to perfection. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The only reason I'm giving this 4 instead of 5 stars is because the handicapped stall in the bathroom wouldn't accommodate my wheelchair.

I guess I should have take a picture but didn't think about it. Food was excellent, NY strip was delicious, love burgundy mushrooms and lemon cake tender. Staff are working hard and fast, really friendly. To the Chef, Big Bravo.

Friendly staff, the ladies live the large dance floor, drinks are good but watch your bill for the double dip, I got burned there Christmas Eve for 2 drinks I did not drink, think it was my waitress, she was fun so I tipped her good anyway, DJ music for dancing and watching

Place is great! Food is always good! Amazing one of a kind military memorabilia! Atmosphere is unreal! Almost like you should have to pay admission just get in, thats how cool it feels in there. If you get a window seat you can watch planes take off and land on the runway. There is a separate area where there is a bar and dance floor. They have special dance events in there.

A group from work went there to celebrate a colleague's achievement. The server was attentive, the food was good, but... one of the persons in the group was served a plate that was so much different to what 2 others, that ordered the same thing, were served. Although it was supposed to be the same it looked different in size and quality. She asked the waiter what happened and if she could get the same as the others, he said there was nothing he could do, so he decided to get the manager. In all my years of eating out I have never seen a worse display of customer service, especially by a manager. From the start she, the manager, came to our table with a very negative attitude, even a little aggressive. She spoke to my colleague in a very disrespectful way, not only with her words but also with her body language. She dismissed my colleague's concerns and just walked away leaving all of us in total shock. So, first and last time for us at the 57th Fighter Group Restaurant. That woman should have no place in customer service.

Always have a great time at 57th! Had my dad's 80th bday there. Had my hubby's 50th bday there too! A great vibe, good food, dancing & generally a fun place! Ashley at the bar was especially attentive & nice, which makes an evening there even better!

This place is great! Recently I brought friends here for the first time, and now they want to go back every time we get together. I had come for happy hour years ago, but never realized they also have amazing food and people. Anyone would enjoy the experience which is unlike any other in Atlanta - a unique old-school ambiance with planes taxiing by, outdoor fire pits, and a rockin' dance floor on the weekends. Strong drinks and top notch service. Big shout out to Ashley and Robert at back bar, who are the best in the business. We'll definitely be back soon!

Thanksgiving dinner was a flop. Bread was hard as a rock. Beans were mixed with fresh and old. Paid $121.00 took us 33 minutes for a 3 course meal they advertised. Left still hungry. Deserts were cheap. Left and went to another restaurant

I have lived in Atlanta for 25 years and have always wanted to come here. I finally made it and was pleasantly surprised. I had the salmon and it was delicious! Situated right at the Peachtree Dekalb Airport, there are several windows which allow you to see the planes taking off and landing. My only complaint is that the meals are not substantial enough if you are real hungry. Great place to come with friends after you ve had some light appetizers.

Brunch here is amazing!! Everything is fairly typical at first, you got charcuterie, pastry, breads and fruit.

It gets better with beer cheese soup--a house specialty, but don't fill up. The carving station offers beautiful medium rare roast sirloin and succulent ham. Following that is the omelette station with every imaginable ingredient you could want.

After your 3rd plate comes the true gem. Down the stairs from the carving station is the Belgian Waffle and bananas foster station. The chef there will serve you a piping hot waffle topped with bananas foster and French vanilla ice cream. It is delicious beyond words!

Someone once described this place to me as one of the most "unique" restaurants in Atlanta and I think they were actually right because I've never seen anything like it. I think I may have been a bit young for the average demographic, but everyone there seemed like they were having a good time. The food was only OK, but I think that's only a small part of the reason people go here. The evening crowd was....surprisingly vivacious. If you have even a passing interest in World War II history (which is the main motif of the whole venue), you should honestly probably experience it once for yourself, but be aware there is a dance floor and someone may try to pull you onto it.

Yummmm

Burger was great. Server named Jade needs to be re trained. If she were as attentive to making money by paying attention to the table's needs as she was to dancing and chatting, she would be a lot better off financially.. I'd go back again but would ask for a better server.

Simply the best! Dinner menu is awesome but lunch definitely good too. Love the atmosphere, and watching the planes come and go. Food is always delicious, especially the braised collards.

A fantastic WWII themed restaurant with a nice selection of well prepared entrees and desserts and a fantastic view of the taxiway/runway of the Peachtree/DeKalb airport. We arrived on an early Saturday evening with no reservations but were seated promptly. Our server was a bit terse and curt. However the manager was a completely different story. Upon seeing me taking an interest in all of the memorabilia, he took the time to give me a tour, explaining many of the items and sharing stories about some of the prominent pieces. It really gave our visit that extra something special. During our meal there were several private jets that took off/landed, but definitely the highlight was seeing a tourist oriented biplane land, park right outside the dining room windows and later, take off again.

Loved the soup, desserts, the bananas foster was to die for, and mimosas were wonderful. The meat dish, was a little chewy, seafood a bit overcooked. The servers were excellent and the atmosphere was very nice. I would try it again but not for brunch.
