Westland is rude and took my money and did not want to return the bond and states they mailed it 2 months ago and advise me to call the Post office to see what happen to it, i was falsely charged and the charges was dropped , that could have caused me my career. I had to call the state senate and Judical Court Complaint dept to get me Bond back and place a complaint ,. . If you have a issue with Westland or any Distric court , you can file a complaint with the State of Michigan

The clerks at the 18th District Court are absolutely rude, nasty and lazy. Their behavior is unconscionable. Presiding Judge Cicirelli needs to be voted out of office, as she has done nothing to correct the misbehavior of the court clerks. The public has a right to be treated respectfully. It is the public that pays the salaries of these clerks.

What kind of terrible city do I live in that gives a jail able offence for selling a car in your own front yard? Westland, Michigan is the answer. Highly considering moving to a different city.

The woman at the front counter for traffic tickets is the rudest, most disrespectful, and absolutely atrocious person i have ever encountered. Dealing with this department is absolutely terrible. If you ever have to come here you're screwed. They will do everything possible to not help you.

Terrible, atrocious and disgusting customer service. The superiority complex of the so-called "good-minded" employees of this district court, are in fact prejudice and inconsiderate, making for an even more difficult, demeaning and begrudging experience with the law. The lack of respect I received was apparent from the first statements, and I hope Westland does better with its police force and court magistrates. Shame on James B. Gibbs, the so-called "representative" I spoke with and apparently the manager. Will be speaking to City Hall. #fixourjusticesystem.

There was this lady there today. I didn't catch her name. She was a young White lady , maybe between 30-40 yrs old, with long brownish blondish hair, attractive but her attitude was nasty. I came to make payment arrangements. I was asking her if there was a way they could provide documents showing the last time the officer had his radar gun calibrated.She said that she was sure that he knew what he was doing. I told her I felt I was clocked in error. After she rudely told me, she wasn't there to talk about the ticket, she was just there to take the money she said whenever she's got a ticket she owned up to it, indicating that i should do the same, and made reference to " If other people jump off the bridge...." doesn't mean I should...AFTER I told her I felt that I was clocked in error. I had written on the piece of paper I had to sign that I felt this was in error. She says " I don't know why you wrote that on there, it's not like they're going to see it. " I told her not to worry about that and just take the money, like she said she was there to do. Customer service is not for her! She is very rude and very unprofessional.

Landlord-Tenant Division continues doing a PHENOMENAL job!!

A few years back the Landlord-Tenant Division went from being a slow and miserable process to being quick and pleasent. Normally, I call Jim Gibbs, the Court Administrator, and let him know how great they are doing. After being closed for Christmas and New Year's and being backed up they still got my docs to me in 2 days. Amazing. Keep up the GREAT work. Thank you.

Work for an attorney and made a call at his request. Staff was rude and incompetent. I myself was a court clerk for 17 years and was appalled.

Don't come to Westland. I was pulled over for running a stop sign in my apartment complex even though I made a complete stop. Went to court for it. The cop obviously had no proof and no dashcam footage to back up his claim. The judge took his side. So now I have to pay over $150 and tons of money due to increased insurance premiums for something I didn't do.

Don't come to Westland.

Horrible people, horrible attitudes. These people are some the main reasons I will never come back to this area/city in my life. The people working there are shiftless, evil, lazy, and did mention lazy? They won t get off their fat asses for 2 min to actually look up some info you need. They gave me the wrong ticket number, told me to pay that wrong ticket number, and then couldn t even explain why their cheap website kept crashing!!!!

Stay as far away from Westland as humanly possible, I wouldn t wish these people or their bs on my worst enemy. I have contacted the problem solvers at Fox channel 2 and my personal attorney regarding the matter, i encourage others to do the same.

I spoke with a woman in this courthouse and she wasn't rude at all, I called 10minutes before they closed and she stayed on the phone to help me figure out my situation

Both judges and two different prosecutors have been extremely fair and understanding every single time. I come from florida on 5 year felony prob and brought my family and a extremely long arrest record with me so that i can get away from floridas police state and start a new life..i still happen to get arrested for twice "for alleged violence" and i have priors too..but both of those times they worked with me and could tell that something wasnt adding up and charges dropped both times. I comend them for there ability to see through my 30 previous charges and look at me as a person and not a number.

Every single employee interaction I encountered was sad and disappointing. Everyone was incredibly rude, disrespectful, and condescending. If you hate your job that much quit. You dont have the right to treat people the way this districts employees treated myself and other people going through issues of their own. People who are doing their part to pay their fines. I made a mistake, but I paid my dues, I'm highly offended a portion of my hard earned income pays these peoples wages. But I can understand when your in the business of ruining peoples days, that can weigh heavily on you conscious. But agian no reason to treat the citizens you serve disrespectfully.

YOU CAN DO BETTER WESTLAND.

Can't believe the courthouse and the cashiers close at 4pm and there's noway to get your ticket/case number online. It's 2021, get with the times westland

This place is 5x less busy than any other court yet its packed cause the cashiers wanna take breaks every 2 minutes plus the cops are loud and rude af

I was lied to. I believe that my pentalty for my crime was a mistake. It was never supposed to be in my record the judge said and it is. I can't work where I really want to be because of this

Have called twice looking for info and have left 2 voice-mails and they're not accepting walk ins so how do you get ahold of anyone?

The people that work there are extremely rude. I think they forget that everyone that enters isn t a criminal

The court staff were always professional and helpful, (but they can't offer advice).

As a plaintiff in small claims, they meet my expectations.

The officer who pulled me over 5 star very respectful and understanding my plates were from my previous vehicle and with the sos being 3 months out he let me slide thank you officer smith badge number 2519.
The courts are bull tho how is it I can t get ahold of anyone in the court. Also a service charge to pay a ticket is unreasonable why do I have to pay the credit card charge when I m paying online with a debit card feels illegal that this is even a thing I do understand CC charge but not debit cards. Especially when we re not allowed to come to the court or that s at least my understanding from the voice mails I listened too. I back the blue but I feel like my rights and freedoms were taken advantage of I hope they read this and take it under review.

All the workers are great! They helped me with all my questions and shout out to the probation department who were professional and very well trained in their job. Everyone who thinks these employees are horrible were most definitely rude to them. Show some courtesy and they will treat you like you treat them! Good job!

Staff are very unprofessional and have horrible attitudes. They are extremely arrogant and very dismissive. Some needs to do something about this public service environment.

Worst customer service ever.

I literally stood at the window for 10 minutes before i was helped. The c*nt of a lady who finally helped me was the same lady who had her back turned to me for that 10 minutes was complaining to her coworker about how she isnt with her boyfriend anymore. Well maybe if you weren't rude to random people trying to pay a fine and wasting our hard earned tax dollars by standing around complaining about something so irrelevant to what you're supposed to be doing, maybe he still might be with you ya c*nt.

Very disorganized. If you are asking which courtroom for a loved one in custody. They don't have the correct info. Check with Prosecutor office. Even the police station next door told my family the wrong time for the Arraignment. Which resulted in my family missing the arraignment. Which is horrible, we tried to support our family member. My additional advice is if your loved ones arraignment is for 8am stay until 9:15-9:30am to ensure that they are not on the afternoon docket.

Very rude staff, very unhelpful, and they jist hang the phone up on you while asking questions!

Don't know if people that work in corrections are trained to be miserable and horrid to make citizens not want to go back, but if so they're doing a fine job.

I Called to reschedule a payment and they hung up on me. Very rude,unprofessional, and demeaning to the JUSTICE system. Everyone except the judges and Police officers should be FIRED. Don't bother calling because all they want is money and they want it now! Kinda hard to get money when I have none right now. Its costing the state less money to keep people out of jail for human errors than in. Why file warrants and all that other stuff. I didn't kill or rape anyone..just a DUI. why treat me like dogshit?

Judge Mark A McConnell forced me to represent myself during a whole trial without a waiver and without my consent.

The big lady with freckles behind the glass is so miserable and so rude over anything she has to lift a finger for or speak to. People going thru it, it s dreadful having to walk up to that glass and deal with such a rude miserable non helpful woman. She will make it hard as possible to do anything unless you ask more and push more.

All you are is money to them. They won't work with you much and give you a hard time.

Icy and dangerous walkways and sidewalks. Staff member was extremely rude when I mentioned that I had slipped.

I can not believe I had a hassle with the girl behind the glass she obviously knew what judge I was about to see because when he called my name the first thing he said was so I hear your back talked my staff and I m positive he judged me on that as well totally unfair what does she have to do with why I m being seen I wanted to say I can t help that your girls are rude and usually don t know what their doing.

The least helpful clerks I've ever experienced. I called to ask what I was supposed to do to respond to a lawsuit and she acted like doing her job explaining it to me was too much to ask. Didn't mean to ruin your day by actually making you work, civil court division clerk.

i would not even give them 1 star. not fair not just i morn for our justice system and what it has become, a collections office.

Whoever the city attorney is-James Fausone, should be unemployed. One year ago somehow you chose not to charge my ex wife with beating our child. 24 times she hit him with a belt and buckle, and tied him to a bed, she confessed to CPS, and family court, yet you claim insufficient evidence?!?! Funny FOC and Oakland Cnty family court found PLENTY OF EVIDENCE, and gave me SOLE custody. A Man in Michigan with SOLE custody.

So glad my son undergoes major counseling to deal with the abuse his mother put him through, THAT YOU SEEMINGLY FIND TO BE ACCEPTABLE!

Several friends within the Livingston County Circuit Court probation and prosecutors office all said out here she d be charged with felonies! HOW COULD YOU BE SO BLIND AND CARELESS TOWARDS A CHILD???? If it were me, we all know I D BE IN PRISON FOR THE SAME THING!

And to make it worse, you were too chicken to call and inform the abused party. You had the Detective call, who also had some very unkind words about your choice. You don t even return one of the several calls I ve made this year. You are a classless child abusing sympathizer! Shame on ALL OF YOU

I hold Judge Cicirelli and the probation officers in high regard.

So far I've only spoke to people on the phone and let me tell you these are some of the most Rudest, unprofessional people I've ever spoken to.

Terrible customer service. Ive called numerous times to just be hung up on before anyone even says hello. Its obvious they are only here to make money.

The clerks were very rude and mean to me at that courthouse all the time. When I asked questions it seemed to have made everyone there mad. They never gave me an attorney for my trial and the judge proceeded the trial without me having any counsel and tried to trick me into representing myself and when I asked questions about my rights I was told that because of my demeanor and attitude and the fact that he believes I don't get along with anyone he finds me quilty. And he sent me over to probation for paperwork. My rights were stripped from me by that judge that whole court and I was treated , represented , convicted unfairly. They did what they wanted to me that day. I need HELP!
