I've been here twice now and have to say they have the best oysters and incredible ceviche (that rotates based on what fish they have that week.) It's a small place but totally worth the wait. Excellent drink menu and the staff is professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend.

Cozy place, sat Chef-side so enjoyed watching them prepare the food. Had the ceviche and ahi poke and both were very good. Saw about 6 lobster rolls being made so would like to try that next time. They don't have a lot of seats so come early.

We took some out of town visitors here for dinner. The staff were all awesome and made sure we had fresh drinks and water as we waited. Once seated, the service was prompt and excellent. Everything we ordered was great. Lobster rolls were stupid good and one of our guests said about the tuna poke: "if I were on death row, that'd be my choice for my last meal".

Talk about your overrated restaurants! While the food was acceptable, the wait staff was insufferable. All the workers were dudebro hipsters with beards and tattoos, and they knew they were working at the hippest place in town, and they made sure you knew too. The host even had the audacity to put his hands on me and push me out the door when I walked in because there was no seating! Note to the managers: train your staff on hospitality.

Had some local oysters and wreckfish crudo! Some of the best food I had when visiting Charleston. Fun raw bar vibe, it is super small so be prepared to wait, but the front of house staff will serve you a beer while you wait outside on the benches :)

I heard about this place and had to visit it. I was warned there is a wait and the place is small but cozy. Small is an understatement. This place is freaking tiny. Yet don't let that fool you this place is awesome. We waited about an hour and a half for a table. However don't worry, Raw is within walking distance of quite of few stores so you can get a lot of shopping done before you eat.

Once we got a table I knew I wanted a lobster roll and my wife got tacos. I picked this place due to her gluten allergies and read online they do a good job of being careful in preparing their food. Without hesitation they asked if either of us had any allergies to be aware of and our server was helpful with picking out something she could eat. He told her what to stay away from and what was she could have. Our food came we ate every spec of food. My lobster roll rivaled everyone I had in Maine. The roll was crispy and buttered to perfection. The lobster meat was literally falling out of the roll. My wife got the fish and shrimp tacos and smiled the entire time she ate. Cannot stress enough this little spot was worth the wait and we will be back again.

Went to 167 Raw because of recommendation. Had Baked oysters and scallop poboys- both were delicious- wait staff very efficient and friendly- felt rushed felt crowded( covid 6 ft role did not apply here)- if anything was 3 ft from next patrons. This was not appropriate given current guidelines. I am an RN- I am aware of guidelines- lets follow them.

Dined here our first night in Charleston because we were craving great oysters. It was about an hour's wait in the evening since it's a small place, but the host was very nice and gave us an expectation of when to return to guarantee us a seat. After grabbing a drink at a nearby bar, we returned and sat outside for a bit with some wine that the host served us. Once we were seated at the bar, we were served fresh, raw oysters from 3 different locations in the country. All the raw oysters we tried were delicious, as were the fried oysters we had. Highly recommend trying this spot out when you're in Charleston.

Worth the wait even at 2pm there was an hour wait as this place only seats a maximum of 24 inside. The poke, Guac and fresh chips, shrimp cocktail, and lobster rolls were all DELICIOUS, and the oysters which I m not even a fan of were soooooo good! Will definitely return. A+++

Amazing place. We ate our way through Charleston for 3 days, and this was the best of them. Great staff, bartenders were the best. Oysters were super fresh, delicious. Other dishes were crazy good too. Get the scallops with stud butter. And the lobster roll. Roasted oysters too. All great. A bar stool with a few hours to kill? This is the place to do it...

Really good spot. Fresh, tasty seafood dishes, the green cauliflower soup was awesome, halibut ceviche was great, good beer and wine list, and very good service.

The only things that kept this from being a 5-star review were a late salad/soup delivery after we were halfway through our entree, and the flounder sandwich, which was very fresh and good but not great. It needed some acid or something to balance out the richness of the fried fish.

But overall this is a really good restaurant. Neat building, very quaint but also full of energy, and very good food.

A must do while in Charleston. Seared scallops were incredible, ceviche might have been the best I have had on the east coast. Fried oysters were great opener and the best taco on the menu, the smoked carnitas, who knew? Everyone in party enjoyed their meal and the guys behind the bar made it that much better.

Although it took over an hour to get in during lunch, it was well worth the wait. The best oysters I ve had in Charleston. Do not overlook the lobster roll either. Excellent service on my first visit there and even gave me an AMAZING slice of Key Lime pie for dessert because it was my birthday. I just got back from Key West, and their Key Lime beat out the best down there. Can t wait to go back!

This place has some killer raw bar. I personally loved the menu of oysters and how each option was described.

Limited booze options, but they cover a few of the basics.

Expect a wait, from 15 minutes to over an hour.

Food and service were impeccable. The lobster roll has HUGE chunks of sweet lobster served on a highly delectable, buttered roll. Local brews were great. Expect a short wait, as the location is really small, but the food comes out quickly, so folks cycle out pretty regularly.

All the seafood that we tried tasted good, and some of it was great! It is pretty pricey though, but just about everything is in Charleston. Expect a little bit more pricey at this place though. The place is extremely small, and I'm told always packed. Not a family restaurant

Oysters are beautifully curated and presented with passionate narrative. Tuna burger is on a delicious brioche roll the has its own flavor and appeal while not overpowering the flavor of the freshest and perfectly garnished tuna available. Ceviche changes daily and is always great - just get it every time and know it is going to delight.

Delicious Food! We ordered takeout here literally everyday for a week during Peak COVID. The to-go food was delicious every single time. I lived in Charleston for a decade and I don't recall a single restaurant as perfect as this place. I only regret we don't have a 167 Raw here in Denver.

What can I say that 1400+ other reviews haven't covered other than to repeat that the oysters are incredible, the service impeccable, and the interior intriguing. Make sure to stop by and enjoy a dozen!

Today I rode my bike across the bridge in Charleston to eat at 167 Raw - Charleston with my good buddy Shawn Kraft. I have to enlighten you on the oyster service by Chef Bailey. He truly is the God of Oysters and his vast knowledge had me begging for more! My favorite was the French Ouster which was a Beausoleil topped with Siberian Caviar and Creme Fraiche. Wow!!!!!!!

The Lobster Roll was the best of my entire life and trust me, I have eaten many a Lobster Roll from New England to Italy. This was a masterpiece and you must try when you come!

The cocktails were Devine and the service was extremely over the top!!!!!! Come sit at the oyster bar and strike up a convo with Chef Bailey. What an experience!!!!!!

This is my favorite raw bar in Charleston. It is small but the service is very personal and you can see all the preparation happen. The owners are knowledge young folks and happy hour is great. Lobster Roll is amazing, as are their great selection of oysters. And you always have the option of taking some fresh fish or shellfish to go because they also serve as a fish market with a lot of sustainable options.

Food was pretty good. Sat right in front of the chef station which provided some entertainment. Very busy place with limited, tight quarters seating. Need to arrive early (before 6pm) to get a seat without a wait.

An absolutely FANTASTIC place!!! You must eat here if you like fish/seafood! We went through 25% of the menu in one meal it was so good and we couldn't stop! Tuna burger is a total must try...quite possibly the best thing I've even eaten!

KILLER!! Love 167!! Definitely a Charleston staple if you re in town visiting and want amazing seafood. Went w my mom yesterday and It was excellent! We stopped by to put our name in as there was an hour and a half wait. We went to walk around DT and then about an hour later, we got a text to confirm and head back. Parked at the queen street parking garage, which is a 5 min walk, we got seated right upon arrival. There was a table for 2 open in the back and I asked the gentleman if we could sit there instead of the bar as he planned, and he was more than happy to offer it to us. Thanks! The tables outside are sweet! We got the Ceviche, a dozen shrimp cocktails, oyster Po boy, and scallop po boy plus a few Bloody Maries (martini style). The cocktails were great and the food came out super quick. Thank you for a great experience.

Literally the best lobster roll I have ever had. One of my favorite things about this place is the ~atmosphere~ Although we waited for an hour and a half, I will say that the wait was definitely worth it. Especially on a beautiful day. Grab yourself a glass of wine and take pictures outside as this will be a memorable experience. Would definitely recommend this place for date night ; ) Can t go wrong - but will definitely spend a little over $100 for two people. Over all, worth every penny! Probably my favorite spot in Charleston.

Really good food. We ordered the tacos, roasted scallops, and the ceviche with halibut. The roasted oysters are a must order and I could eat the ceviche for every meal. My husband enjoyed the tacos, too.

We found this spot online and stopped in for a late lunch on our last day in Chareston. It was maybe 2pm and there was still a short wait, but well worth it. The food was absolutely amazing! We ordered raw clams and shrimp which was incredibly fresh and delicious - no need for crackers or condiments. We also had the fish tacos and key lime pie. Everything was very fresh, house made and amazing. It's a fun, smaller space with an open kitchen and mostly bar space, but very well done. It's also just across the street from the water. The staff is very friendly and accommodating as well. We ate at several great restaurants during our trip to Charleston, but this place had the best raw seafood of any, hands down.

After reading the stellar reviews, we headed here straight from the airport. Parking is always a challenge in Charleston, and the area was especially congested after an annual race. We were glad we perservered though. Perfect weather, new friends and a glass of wine made the shorter than predicted wait outside a pleasant experience. My husband and I really enjoyed the fish and shrimp tacos, and the staff could not have been more friendly and knowledgeable. Tiny spot, but the wait is well worth it.
