Unfortunately there is no 0 star here, I would use it. There is no customer support whatsoever. No way to talk to anyone about the issue (you can submit a support ticket and no one will do nothing for weeks. You can Chat with someone but the only thing what they will say is that that is nothing can be done you need to wait... forever ), totally frozen out. Would never rely on 101domain for important and business-critical domains! I am very upset about the arrogance and ignorance of most of the support team. I really would like to talk to someone who cares about customers. I can provide plenty of communications by mail, ticket comment and chat. If there is anyone at the company who would care about the customers just talk to me about this Ticket# 101CM-192241 and try to solve my issue after 1.5 week! - The problem has been resolved. It is really sad we needed to reach out publicly to those people who actually care about the customer. Good to know there are people like that at 101domain, I don t understand why we couldn t handle this without a conversation like this. I do modify my review to 2star!

I had a great experience with 101domain. I have 3 domains, and did not know they would auto renew. I called and was refunded for all of them and had them close. I will not be billed again. I recommend 101domain.

We have four domains with 101 domain, they suspend...

We have four domains with 101 domain, they suspended and blocked one of our domains without any notice causing us serious disruption, loss of reputation and massive financial loss. A trademark complaint was falsely submitted to 101 domain, instead of making us aware or investigating they immediately removed our site, this means that you could be on the receiving end of a malicious attempt to bring down your website and 101 will just remove. We tried to explain to the legal woman, we were told she would call us back when she was back in the office, nothing happened, therefore we called again only to find that she doesn't even work in that office, she works remotely and doesn't come into the office! We spoke via email and we explained the situation and the trademark law and how we were not in violation, she didn't address our points nor deal with our requests. As a result we spoke to our lawyer and felt the only way was to get away from 101domain, they clearly are not interested in actual trademark law but instead if they receive a complaint, no matter how false they will block you, hence we immediately requested a domain transfer code. We heard nothing hence we had to engage our lawyer to contact 101 domain directly. He emailed and faxed them his letter with the intent of legal action and also the relevant laws in regards to trademark law, we emailed confirming this had been sent, their response: a link to their legal terms and conditions! Wow! That is not the way you reply to your customer or this situation, whether or not they know they are in the wrong they are clearly hiding and damaging our business whilst they are doing it. But really only then did we realise the company we were dealing with, they have no interest in replying to your points, address your issues, instead they will have no problem in putting your domain and your business at risk, their attitude seems very clear as you can tell. It is up to you whether you want to risk your business by using 101domain, you are taking a huge risk with your business if you do as you can see above, we have reported 101domain to ICANN for their behaviour and our lawyer is currently calculating the cost of damage to our business, their refusal to inform us of the complaint is one thing, the refusal to reply to our points regarding trademark law is another, being lied to and refusal to even do the proper investigating into the actual law is another but finally to reply to our confirmation of our lawyers letter with a link to their legal terms and conditions should tell you everything you need to know about this company, customer service, looking after the customer and most importantly the law is not considered important to 101domain.

(This will be a copy of my opinion at Facebook, since I think that 101domain doesnt deserves the bad reputation that other people say, I have 2 sites with them and you can check all my info if you want, this is my ppoint of view as a customer)

At the time I have your services, havent found any problems yet as opposed of other post says, mainly I think that many problems starts with not knowing really, how the proceadures are done.
I had little bit of a problem on transferimng my ccTLD domain but the support team fixed quiet fast, it wasnt 101domain fault since some ccTLD resgistrars require some human intervention like in my case a .ec domain, there is an admin that needs the aprove the transfer at NICec
Beside of that, I think that there are many features missing that doesnt makes 101domain the first option on shared hosting service like:
- Doesnt support DKIM outgoing mail signing, a standard mechanism for not forgering youre address, with no support on this, because on thing is placing the public key on the DNS records and the other thing is placing the private key on the server for signing the outgoing emails (currently 101domain servers cant do this, many admins forgets about where to place the private key ending on a faulty DKIM policy), with that being said, then you cant also implement fully a DMARC policy, so your last defence mechanism is SPF that its quiet old and has prooven that its really faulty.
- No SSH access to the server, many other providers do gives you this option even if its under a jailshell access for security reasons, so no option if you update youre site trhough rsync.
- Site transfer option: The 101domain hosting services relay on Parallels Plesk control panel, if youre site was on the other provider that had cPanel (this was my case), it will be a little bit of a hard work to make a transfer, since the plugin of cPanel compatibility to Plesk is unabled, mainly you have to recreate your entire site again!
- No DNSSEC option for .ec domain, to be fair this maybe a fault of NICec
- When configuring an email client like Outlook gives you an error of not being trustworthy the signign authority of the TLS certificate (no SSL option on smtp server by the way).
- SpamAssasin is the only SPAM filter option and its quiet restricted its configuration, you cant attach it to your SpamCop account to make the reports, to be fair, this option isnt also allowed in many hosting providers, dont know why. By the way it would be mutch better if 101domain do partners with services like SpamExperts, you can setup realy easily this service with 101domain server (I have done already the setup) and this also would benefit on bandwith and security to 101domain, because SpamExperts are the ones that in first place recives all the domain emails and once filtered of SPAM and infected ones, they are passed to 101domain server.
- Last but not least, no IPv6 support for todays internet.
- Also forgot to mention solution as a partner for 101domain would be CloudFlare, its very easythe setup (I have done this setup to), this also would benefit the final client and 101domain on bandwith, pages loads would be mutch more eficient and with a lot more on security.

One of the worst experience ever.

One of the worst experience ever.
My website exceeded the storage limit of my Host-To-Go hosting subscription (1.1 GB out of the allotted 1.0 GB) and they disabled my website without any notice.
I wrote the support team on 19 May 2016, pinged a couple of times....
they finally answered me on 07 Jun 2016

Our domains were transferred here via NamesBeyond; after a buyout and/or merger.. During our time here, we found the site to be better than the previous, with support times ranging from 24-48 hours...

The main reason for the rating at a 3, is because I wouldn't recommend. There are far better and less expensive options available. For instance, pricing with Amazon for a .pro renewal was and still is $14.99; where 101Domains currently charges $24.99.

If you strive for needing support, than perhaps double the fee might work for you... However, if you are like me and have several domains which you renewal for over 10 years, the price to look for another company would be now... best of luck

I actually LOVE 101! I use it for all my clients, as it provides a clean interface to all of the services they offer - domains, hosting, etc.

So far, all my clients are even happy with 101 Domain -- and I love how it also has automated processes to setup stuff like Opencart, Wordpress and so on. There really isn't much to fault!

101 Domain have been a very good company to do business with, they have excellent customer service and very reasonable prices. I have seen that other people have not had such a great experience as me so i would like to say that this is from my opinion only, i have never had a problem with 101 domain and overall i would recommend them.

Very disappointed that 101domain would not refund ...

Very disappointed that 101domain would not refund fees associated with domain auto-renews that I did not want renewed. As soon as the charge hit my credit card, I called 101domain and advised that i did not want the domains renewed and wanted a refund. Was told to issue a ticket, which i did. No mention that I would not get a refund.

Support replied to the ticket to confirm that I wanted the domains cancelled. I confirmed.

Subsequently received a response from billing that I would NOT receive a refund as it is my fault for not reviewing the policy when I signed up.
Shame on me for not paying attention, but shame on 101domain for keeping funds for domains I no longer have and no longer use.

Very disappointing that a company decides to keep funds for services not wanted and not provided. I have multiple domains and sites with GoDaddy and have received refunds for services that I did not use or need.

Would definitely not deal with these 101domain again.

They ruined everything!!! In 2017 and before 2017 ...

They ruined everything!!! In 2017 and before 2017 everything went smooth, they did a great job. But something has changed 7 months ago.
They shut down my website for a week just before Christmas, because they have difficulties with the migration (that was the excuse).
101domain presented a completely unacceptable support behavior in the last 2 weeks. They untalented system administrators did not find the way how can get back my lost data... I had to wait almost 2 weeks to get back my website with all of my articles and posts.
Their communication skill is poor as well.
Their low quality support team and system admin team deserve only 0.25 star, 1 star is too much to them.
I really disappointed! I'm really not satisfied!
