There's a very specific demographic at this hotel - I'd say generally it's 38+. We got this place under the Fine Hotels and Resort Program. I had better experience with other hotels under this program.

The accommodation and staff was super helpful and very knowledge on everything that we requested.

The complementary coffee/tea had too much fine print to understand what was complementary and ultimately showed up on my invoice.

The gym is outdoor/patio style. It was clean but dated. No pool. The gym had lots of clean towels, fruit and water for those who needed it.

The room we got under the AMEX program was average. When I say average - I think I was expecting to be "wowed" with the furnishing. Sheets were clean, piles of pillows and the mattress was comfortable. Windows opened and were brilliantly sound proof.

The bathroom was nice. Above average size and plenty of amenities to go around. There were steps leading up to the tub/shower - not sure what that was all about - it was different and I approached the stairs cautiously as I exited the tub.

No draft beer at the bar. I was told it was cocktails only with bottle beers. Again - the demographic at the bar was specific, 38+.

Breakfast at this place was above average. AMEX included a $30 pp credit during this period. The service was great, the menu was short and sweet. Coffee could use some work. The coffee could be a matter of taste. But from a bitterness scale for coffee (not sure if that's a thing) from McD (smooth drinking) to Starbucks (rough), the coffee ranked below SBUX. Lucky for the folks staying at this place - Starbucks was right next door.

Would I stay at this place again - probably not. Would I stay at this place using the AMEX program - probably not. Would I recommend staying at this place... sure, it was clean, comfortable and secure.
