I went to the ER due to severe abdominal pain. There were several other people waiting, and during the 2 hours I waited there being ignored before I left to go to another facility, not a single person was taken to see a doctor. I am not a pain wimp, was experiencing chills, sweating, and stabbing pain of a score of 8. Due to the severity of my pain, I repeatedly asked what time frame we could expect before being seen, and every person refused to give us any idea of wait time, telling us they were waiting for beds to open. The nurse told me that the doctors would not administer any pain medication without a bed available, and I was left to suffer in the waiting room, even after I told here there was no way I could wait hours for relief. Several people left before being seen due to the long wait time and lack of compassion or concern displayed by the staff. There were 2 families there that told us they had been waiting over 6 hours! This lack of urgency is incomprehensible. I am a veterinarian, and my patients receive more compassion than was shown to anyone in this ER. I would never leave a patient in extreme agony without the benefit of pain medication for over 2 hours, or have someone wait over 6 hours to be seen for a health issue that they deemed urgent enough to go to the ER for. You have a serious problem at this facility with time management and a lack employee compassion towards the patients. I will never recommend anyone use this hospital.
