BED BUGS! THE RESORT HAS BED BUGS!

BED BUGS! THE RESORT HAS BED BUGS!

I'm going to tell you a tale of utmost disappointment. This resort fostered anvenvironment that ruined a vacation. And I'm not the only one to say this read through the reviews.

Let's start from the top. Getting from the airport to the hotel. Little do they tell you, you have to ensure you book transportation with them 24 hours prior to arrival. Well if you don't it's going to cost you about $30 per person.

When you arrive and check in, the front staff displays the language barrier very well. So if you have questions on resort costs etc. Be prepared to go back to your room without an answer. After you check in you're rushed over to another person. This person is going to tell you about an "information" session. Be prepared to waste half a day all for 10% off your bill and a card. Now they talk this card up. It's the VIP card, right? Well it's not it gets you basically nothing. So you go to the presentation whenever you set it. Turns out it's a timeshare presentation. They say it should last an hour but it lasts for 4. The staff don't know how to take no for an answer very well. But, hey you got a free breakfast out of the deal. So can't go wrong there.

Let's talk about the rooms. If you're in the Mayan palace, be prepared for loud noises all throughout the complex. There is construction going on right next to it and you can hear it throughout. The rooms also smell like musk and mold. If you remember you highschool locker room, the rooms smell like this. Cleaniless, is by far a low standard here. My 6 year old son can clean better than this. Now you may think taking your complaints to the front desk will get you a chance at a better vacation. Well it doesn't.

Next restaurants or where to eat. We'll be prepared to spend quite a bit of money for not a lot of food. The food quanity is low same as the quality. You'll spend quite a bit on a meal and not even get chips and salsa. Since when did you not get complimentary chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant? Well here you'll never see it unless you pay more. So you think you're going to stay in your room and order room service. Don't! They'll tell you it'll be an hour then almost two hours later your meal will show up. The server will set the table up for you, ask you if it was correct and then wait for a tip. Now he'll give you the check then be prepared for an awkward moment. Hell check your tip in front of you and argue if you didn't tip him enough. Again language barriers, so it's about a good 5-10 minutes before they leave. Then the food is cold coming from room services.

Ah in Mexico you want to enjoy the beach. Well, the beach on this resort is straight garbage. It's pure rock and seamoss/weed making it so you can't even walk the coastline to enjoy. The other parts of the beach are secluded to other portions of the resort. If you venture into them, you'll order something and then they'll ask you to leave. Only after taking your money.

Hands down this resort constantly expects you to pay more than any other location we've been too. A lot of the staff is rude. You're secluded away from everything. Meaning you have to take this cart all around the resort. Just don't waste your money, because they won't return it and you won't get your money worth. Hence why I'm writing this sitting in a moldy smelling room of the Mayan palace. Your vacation will be ruined by this resort.

The resort did nothing for complaints. So be prepared to go unheard and feel ripped off. The resort has bed bugs too in the Mayan palace. I'm not the only one. I met a couple that got a rash the first night of their stay.
