Unfortunately our experience was FAR from worth the cost we paid. The first driver we rode with for the day was very informative and fun, and the trolley was the proper open-air style, with no glass windows, so you could see and feel the city. We only had one of their "Living Legends" get on and talk to us during the tour, so I can't see how the company can brag about how great that feature is, if it is just one person at only one of the stops.

Later in the day, after lunch and some shopping down by the riverfront, our group loaded onto a second "trolley," and the driver was an older man with HORRENDOUS driving skills!!! He was VERY abrupt in his braking, and he would pump the brakes hard many times at EVERY stop sign, aggressively inching the bus forward, causing us to have very sore necks, which caused significant pain that truly ruined the rest of our visit in downtown Savannah for the day. Plus, this "trolley" had "air-conditioning", which actually just meant it was a stuffy closed-in bus, with loud fan motors on the ceiling, drowning out the sound of our frustration from being trapped in a funky smelling city bus that was disguised as a trolley. We were not allowed to open the windows, so we were stuck with bad views and no way to take decent pictures through the glass. We were afraid to get off and enjoy any of the rest of the stops, and hope to find another real trolley to ride, because we never saw any other of Old Savannah Tours' Trolleys out on route for the rest of the day. We did not want to be trapped downtown and have to walk miles back to our cars.

Throughout the day, we saw multiples of the orange and green Old Town Trolleys in just a short time... And all of those were open and airy, so their large groups of passengers could enjoy taking pictures and enjoying the scenery. We may have to go with that company next time, if we decide to ever ride with any of Savannah's trolley companies again.

Unfortunately, because of our spoiled experience by the second driver offering very little helpful information and having a bossy attitude, lacking much customer service skills, plus our INCREDIBLY sore whiplashed necks, we didn't feel up for enjoying anything else downtown for the rest of the day. I saw many neat stores and boutiques that I wanted to shop in, but due to how few of their trolleys were running, we were not willing to risk being stranded. We should have saved our money and just paid to park at the places we wanted to go see. This was such a waste of money and we are VERY disappointed in how much it cost just to get whiplash and a poor experience from basically overpriced public transportation.
