My husband and I now stay at this hotel every year we visit South Beach. You can walk everywhere and everything you need is close by. However, it is the staff's kindness, courtesy, cheerfulness and trustworthiness that has consistently impressed us and keeps us coming back to their warm welcome. I called Desiree at the front desk last night, slightly panicked, realizing that I had left $300 in cash in our room safe. We had checked out that same morning.
She very calmly told me that the room was currently available (Phew!) and that the manager would check the safe's contents. An hour later she called me back and said that Gerardo had located the $300 cash and that it was safe. (Double Phew!)
This morning Gerardo arranged to Western Union me the cash, which I can pick up at my local grocery store. When I asked him if I could compensate him for his time & trouble he said, "That's OK. The Western Union is just one block away and the exercise will do me good!" Now that that is what I call excellent service!
