I called the emergency department on Sunday night because my 10-month-old dog had opened her leg during a walk. After many questions yes she was eating, yes she was reactive, ..... But I specify that the wound is very deep and bleeding is important. After a call waiting the young woman informs me that the veterinarian does not consider his case as an emergency and invites me to disinfect, to heal and to consult my vet the next morning. Result 6 stitches. I thank them for letting a puppy suffer all night without being able to judge by any other way than the seriousness of the injury.
