This review is for the service depart at Autobarn Pl behind Jewel-Osco and Target. My wife bought her Mazda here and we've been doing all scheduled maintenance with this location ever since. We were all for them until they became dishonest with quotes. We took the car in for service on 4/20/19, they checked and listed a few things that needed to be done and it's $199 for all. During that conversation they mentioned that the battery terminal needed to be cleaned and it's $45; my wife asked if it's $199 for all and they said yes, and we said go ahead. Later the bill came and it was $250! Ok maybe $199 is before taxes but taxes are not $50. They were busy that day so there was such a rush to get us processed and out the door. My wife was intimidated and didn't question. We later called back and even revisited the facility to dispute. The adviser first agreed (yes, she agreed, and there are witnesses) to give a credit adjustment. The credit never came to our account so we followed up, and she just changed up the story now saying the battery terminal wasn't part of the $199 and was extra, and we authorized it so nothing she could do. This is so confusing to say the least and probably out right deceptive. Because everything was verbal and they never presented any written quote for us to sign (odd!), it now all became a he said she said situation. Any auto shop should be honest and clear about their pricing and also upfront and trying to put everything on paper when there needs to be extra. This is just basic stuff yet they are not doing but they are really good at clouding people's minds and rushing them to sign on so they can collect. Every time we drive out of our way to have services done here just because they are the dealership and they've been decent. Not anymore! They can keep our $30 but they've lost our business forever!
