I came into the ER yesterday with severe chills and sweating, chest pains, and blood pressure readings on the lower end. When they wheeled me in for bloodwork, the guy was professional but the vein blew and I began feeling faint, which is normal for me if I have had a needle being wiggled around in my arm. Seriously, this is not a brand new phenomenon.

I let him and the other woman doing bloodwork know this, but she immediately told him to put his knees against mine to keep me in the wheelchair, and went after my other arm, causing me to pass out. I woke up to her yelling at me, and acting like this involuntary bodily response was somehow my fault, and that they could not draw blood effectively.

I did not appreciate being treated this way and handled with such impatience and roughness. As I do understand it was busy, I do not understand why any trained medical professional would see fit to handle a patient in such a manner. In the event of a real emergency, I will not be visiting this ER.
