I was reluctant to contact you via the social media or Google Review channels as I wanted to give you the opportunity to clarify what happened first which I feel is fair and I was sure you would be able to do. However, I have now attempted to contact you twice via email but have been ignored to date.

I am contacting you with regards to the bill we received at lunch yesterday (it was three weeks ago now)and would like some clarification as to how the final figure was arrived at.

Myself and two colleagues arrived around 1.30 p.m for a light lunch yesterday. One of them opted for a full carvery, (very reasonably priced at 11.95) Myself and my other colleague were not overly hungry so we decided to just have a hot joint sandwich each. I opted for chips while he decided to go without. As I was paying, he informed me of this. I also informed the lady who was at the register. I was told that it makes no difference whether or not you want the chips, the price is still the same. Being with my two colleagues and not wanting to embarrass them, I decided not to argue the point as I thought it will only be a few euros either way. I was sorely mistaken. The full bill for one chicken dinner, two roast beef sandwiches and the tiniest "bucket" of chips came to 35.85! I feel that by anyone's standards, this is ludicrous!

Prior to this, we have come to your hotel many times and have enjoyed a hot joint sandwich, chips and fries for 8 - 9 over a business lunch. Receiving a bill for 11.95 for just a sandwich on its own beggars belief. I must stress that the woman who served me was extremely polite and friendly as she explained the full price policy and I have no fault whatsoever with her.

I would be grateful if you could clarify your pricing policy with regards to this situation and explain how I was forced to pay for something I did not ask for or want. By this reckoning and logic, were I to have opted to have only fries, would I have been forced to pay for the sandwich?
