Tl;dr The SCRA allows active duty service members ...

Tl;dr The SCRA allows active duty service members to break leases. Was told by Toyota to bring vehicle back to dealership. Dealership refused to take back the vehicle, didn't believe what I was saying, and belittled me.

Don't go here. Especially if you're a uniformed service member.

I enlisted into the United States Air Force (EOD pipeline) and am going into active duty soon. I was informed by Toyota Financial Services that it is indeed possible to break my lease on my vehicle under the Servicemember's Civil Relief Act (SCRA) which I was approved for after faxing in my orders to the SCRA Department of Toyota Financial Services. All I had to do was drop off the vehicle at a dealership for a final inspection.

Upon arriving and explaining to the sales representatives what I needed to do and what I was told to do, each and every one of them didn't know what I was talking about and stated that they do not just "forgive" leases just because I was in the military. I actually had an older gentleman walk up to me (Either Alan or Ellen Walker) and told me:
"So are you telling me that the military will forgive the rest of your lease? Your payments?"
"Yes sir."
"Yeah that doesn't happen. I was in the Marines."

I was with my family. Absolutely the most embarrassing situation that could occur before Christmas and before I ship out.
