Beautiful location and scenery, but I won't be going back to this winery again which is too bad, because it really is a nice place. I have a three year old daughter, and brought a guest who was from across the country to enjoy some music, wine, and sunsets... we saw a sign that said families one way, and over 21 (without kids) another way. The security/valet personnel kindly told us since it wasn't too busy we could go up to the adults only section. We were approached as we were sitting down pointing us behind a gated area off to the side/back that said it was for families/kids only. To try to make us feel better, she said "It's actually more shaded over there, it's better!"...I literally felt like I we were being caged, and in troube for having a child, and I've not once experienced that at a local winery. We obviously put our child first, and have a designated driver, and our daughter is very well behaved, loves music and likes to be outside.

I get it, adults want adult-only time. I'm a mom, so I understand this, but I'm also a mom of a very well behaved little girl who wanted to dance with the band, which was a reason I came. We were shoved in an area next to the bathrooms behind a closed gate, most of the tables/umbrellas were tattered and away from the band playing. There's wineries with adult only areas but this was unnecessarily gated off. Maybe just split the yard in front of the patio in half where the bands play with SIGNS that say families this side, adults only this side- not GATING off an area way off to the side, it's just so unwelcoming. Or a time when its adults only, or make it an adult only winery. To put a gate up and make us stay on one side seems a bit rediculous. And, I am sure there was a reason for this you probably had out of control children or families not taking care of the children, or childless adults complaining, but that is when staff comes in, there's better solutions and options than shoving people away and behind a gate. The gate was uncessary and frankly seemed unwelcoming and cold.

Also, the worst part of it was right in front of the band (in the adults only section) were two individuals smoking cigerettes- so, the winery finds children more offensive than someone smoking??? Interesting. For these reasons, I will not be going back, and I have let most of my family friends know of this as well.

Another thing, give your staff some fans or water misters that are out in the tasting area in the yard... it was so hot under there even when we were just standing for the tasting at 5 pm.... they voiced their discomfort, and looked uncomfortable. I could sense disapointment and frustration on your staff's end that they weren't given fans or a way to keep cool out therere in warmer temps (vocalizing to us that there was even electricity and they didn't know why nobody would put fans out there). Their discomfort directly relates to their desire and ability to want to interact with customers. Staff was rude.
