My wife and attended the showing of Wicked, something my wife has wanted to see for a while now. It was a cold night and so the Theatre had the heat on. Once we sat down and the program started it begun to get extremely hot. It was nearing 90 degrees with several people fanning themselves with their programs and me sweating along with everyone else. I talked to an usher that told me they just sent someone to fix the temperature during intermission. The second act started and it continued to get hotter and I could feel the hot air blowing down. Several people around us didn't come back for the second act do to the heat. During the second act my wife and I became lethargic due to the heat and had a very difficult time focusing on the show. I called the Fox Theatre to voice my concerns about the less than satisfied experience and was told that I was the only one to have voiced a complaint and that they were contractually obligated from the actors to have the temperature that high. After stating this, the lady the had answered the phone at Fox Theatre said that there wasn't anything she could do to make up for the dissatisfied experience. Never would I have come close to paying over $200 to go to a sauna fully clothed. Would have to consider very carefully attending any other event at the Fox Theatre, especially with the customer service afterwards.
