I spent 3 nights solo at this hotel in August 2018. A Luxury room with half board.

First of all, a magnificent place. The most beautiful beach on the island at your feet and under your terrace. The garden space is sumptuous and the layout of the place is simply idyllic. When you arrive, a huge hall awaits you. Zen atmosphere with soft music and diffused scents. The blue swimming pool is wide open before your eyes. Impeccable welcome: kindness and smile. The recording is done around a refreshment, seated in soft sofas. Every detail is dealt with immediately. The customer service manager himself takes care of my little wifi connection problem on my laptop. The pleasure of a truly 5-star service.

The Luxury room, on the 2nd floor, with an unobstructed view of the beach, which makes the difference with the lower category, is simply magnificent. Large, well furnished, with the possibility of fully opening the bathroom to the bedroom. Shower and tub. All the little extras: courtesy bottles of water, small chocolates, ...

The services are also up to par: several restaurants, many bars with generous menu, swimming pool, spa, activities offered.

Why then, not to have given a 5 star review? Because the Sofitel, although very well maintained, shows a little the weight of the years. Furniture starting to date, signs of wear visible, although not invasive. The neighboring hotel, accessible without restriction by the beach, marks its difference quite strongly. This one having been renovated recently. I have always preferred the Sofitel for that little French extra. But for once, our Anglo-Saxon friends mark the point in Flic en Flac.

A very positive result anyway. I do not put excellence for the reasons mentioned, but it is largely deserved for the welcome and kindness of a staff largely up to the task.
