I would not recommend community tax to my worst enemy! I hired them with the promise to lower or alleviate my tax debt. To start the process the wanted $250 so I paid it. Then they say they need $1800 in total to help me. Me being desperate for relief I made a payment of $500. I later find out that all they planned on doing is amending my taxes which had already been done and filling out a form to get the interest and fees waived. So I wanted a refund, at first the refused to refund any of my money. All the did was take down my information, I had to produce my IRS transcripts and tell me they could help with a payment plan that you can do yourself on the IRS website! So for them taking my information and getting my transcripts nothing was done. They would only agree to refunding $400 of my money. I took it to another tax professional he went over my taxes and filled out the form to waive my interest and fees for $110. What they don't tell you is unless you have a substantial drop in your income they can't help get your fees reduced. They pray on desperate people that feel they're offering them hope to relieve some of their tax debt! I could've put that $450 the wouldn't refund towards my tax debt! I was very dissatisfied with their service! Do not use them! Go to a local tax professional it's way cheaper and hopefully more they're more accommodating! I wonder if they wrote their own reviews because the are terrible!
