Wednesday I received a proactive call from Beutler...

Wednesday I received a proactive call from Beutler stating that it was time for our 6 month tune up. We scheduled it for the next morning between 8-10. Ian showed up around 9.

He informed us of several issues basically stating that we needed a new unit because it would cost us more to fix the issues that he had found.

Before our tune up, our AC was working fine. By 3pm yesterday it was over 80 degrees in our home. Needless to say we felt as though Ian did something to lead our AC to go out.

I called Beutler asking for someone to come out to fix their error last night. They couldn t get anyone until today.

You may be wondering why I gave them even a 3. Ian deserves a 1. He wasn t a tech, he was a salesperson. However, today Andrew showed up. Informed us that in fact the tech had put wires back together incorrectly leading to the motor to not fire correctly. He said there was a leak we would need to have fixed, but did not see other issues indicating we needed to spend thousands of dollars to replace the unit right away.

So I give this a 3 for an average rating. I guess it really depends on the tech you get. If I knew we d always get Andrew, I d continue using Beutler, but with the risk of having another Ian and spending another hot night with my kiddo; we likely won t be using Beutler again.

My husband says Andrew needs promoted and a raise and Ian needs fires.

Ethics always wins Beutler. Make sure you keep hiring more Andrews.
