Amazingly beautiful theater. Even compared with the few NYC Broadway I have been to -this one is way prettier. Professional, fun, not pretentious.
The biggest issue: last week we saw Hamilton there. I got lucky and scored upper level seats for "just" $170 each. It was HOT up there. It had to be at least 80 degrees in there, because we took a side exit straight outside and it was so refreshing outside. My weather app on my phone said it was 78 degrees outside at the moment. That explains why I never really stopped sweating during the show. Very distracting when you dress up for a nice show but you have to unbutton your collar, roll up your sleeves and fan yourself with a playbill for 3 hours. I guess the price of my ticket wasn't enough to buy me some air conditioning or air flow. For this reason alone, I will never watch a nice show at the Fox again during the warmer parts of the year.
The more minor issue is that the acoustics or sound system made it hard to hear what was being said. Hamilton is a very dynamic and fast moving musical, and I didn't know what was said at times missing the punch line.
If I ever get lucky enough to see Hamilton in NYC, I would love to see it again though.
