Loving my 2020 Genesis G70 Prestige from PIAZZA GENESIS IN WEST CHESTER NOT COLONIAL

TLDR Shopping for a new car at COLONIAL felt like I was living in a poorly written comedy movie with the most stereotypical, over the top, tacky sales tactics possible. Something to note, they left me a voicemail saying "we'd like you to entertain the Genesis again, come back and we'll get much closer to your budget for the Genesis" after I said I couldn't afford it. Upon arrival, they showed me an Audi with 48k miles on it, costing "mid 20 thousand range" instead of lowering the price of the GENESIS as stated in the voicemail. So expect bait and switch here.

Here's a detailed account. Grab a drink. Day one, received a phone call from a salesman (I'll withold his name because he was overall friendly. Not a good salesman to me, and a little scatterbrained, but didn't strike me as malicious). He got me to come down and look at a Genesis priced at 33,990 (priced 32,800 online, hmm why the different price in person?). After fees and taxes, the car was now 38,000. I said I couldn't afford it, and the "wonderful" sales manager Vish came over to assist. Here's where the nightmare begins.

Immediately he commented on my father's baldness as he is bald himself (a common sales tactic to build common ground). My father is a cancer survivor, you DO NOT exploit that to your sales approach. I was disgusted and knew right then and there I would never purchase a vehicle from here again. I wasn't being a tough negotiater by any means. I legitimately could not afford it at the price. After math I did, If a fee was waived and 3 grand taken away, I could've afforded it, but Vish refused to budge on price and offered worthless incentives instead when I expressed the most important thing to me is a low monthly payment. "But it's so much car for the price" "this is a man's car" are comments from Vish during our discussion. I asked him about lease options for the 2020 G70s, to which he didn't answer at all. The most important consideration in a sale is listening to your customer's wants and needs. You both failed to simply listen. I stated numerous times that it looked like I just couldn't afford the car, and I was prepared for that to be the case if they didn't budge on the price. To their credit, it was a great vehicle. I get that. But Vish INSISTED I could afford his monthly payment. Do NOT tell me what I can and can't afford.

Day two, I received the voicemail and was subject to the bait and switch as described in the TL:DR. The only reason I entertained these people is because they had my broken car on their lot. After expressing 0 interest in the Audi, Vish kept trying to sell it. Then after expressing my disappointment in his bait and switch, he offered more pointless warranties and oil changes on the car. I asked the salesman after my conversation with Vish about lease options to which he simply replied "you can't afford it with your budget." Again, do NOT tell me what I can and can't afford. The Genesis G70 Prestige I leased and will purchase afterwards from PIAZZA in WEST CHESTER says I can afford it. PIAZZA in WEST CHESTER has excellent customer service. There were no slimy, stereotypical, over the top, played out, demeaning, insulting sales tactics used.

Bottom line: Colonial exploited my Father's baldness (cancer survivor) as a sales tactic, told me I can afford their slightly overpriced vehicle, told me I couldn't afford something that ended up being the most affordable option (AT PIAZZA), and used terrible tactics (it's a man's car, so much car for the money, bait and switch, blatantly ignoring wants and needs). Check reviews here, and then PIAZZA WEST CHESTER.

To Colonial: I'm sure I'll receive some half hearted generic reply on here to contact you to make this right. Nothing will make this right. You disgust me. You pushed a nearly 5 year customer out the door and offered nothing to keep my business when I inquired about vehicle options.

Only positive thing here is Bryan in service was great!
