I recently ordered a quad of JJ EL84 tubes for a 1960s AC30. Instead I received a quad of Tube Amp Doctor tubes. I thought I would give them a try, huge mistake. The amp went silent after about 30 seconds and I smelled something burning. Pulled the tubes, turns out one of the tubes was shorted and another tube had zero emissions. This was my first and last time ordering tubes from StewMac, in fact I will never order anything from them again, and I'd suggest avoiding Tube Amp Doctor tubes as well if this experience is any indication of the quality of their testing procedures. Now I have to take my amp to get looked at and possibly spend a lot of money because of the worst possible poor quality of the items I purchased.
