I had to go to Genesys today to return a 24 hour monitor to my Cardiologist's office on the 3rd floor. I wore my mask, had my temperature taken at the door and rode the elevator up alone. So far so good, pandemically speaking. The elevator was fairly small with stickers on the doors warning that the limit for riders was 4 people. Also, stickers on the carpet inside to show the 4 riders where to stand to distance as much as possible. While waiting to ride back down to leave I was joined by a mother and daughter. Freaking out a little because of the small space and I've got medical issues. Then at the very last second, 3 chatting, laughing Hospital employees crammed into the elevator! And one wasn't even wearing a mask! Wait a minute, aren't these people aware of the current pandemic? And what about their own hospital policies? I scooted out as quickly as I could before the door closed me in with those self absorbed, inconsiderate people. I am still completely amazed at the actions and attitudes of those supposed "patient care heroes". We are never going to get through this if even the hospital workers aren't following the CDC guidelines.
