My home away from home! As an insanely devout opera fan I visit the Met some 20 to 25 times per year and have sat in literally every section of this enormous 4000 seat auditorium. If money is no object go for the Grand Tier. In terms of sound, however, the balcony is best. The Met is hands down the gold standard of opera houses world wide thanks to 40 devoted years by Maestro James Levine whose brilliant artistry will live on in the hearts of those of us who know and appreciate his dedication to the art form.
