John D Review of Jim Ellis Chevrolet

Everyone here operates with professionalism, but I've found the quality control on the service department to be highly disappointing with several of the Jim Ellis dealerships on PIB. This Chevrolet is no different. I had to bring my truck back in after my last visit(for a recall) because they aligned the wheels but didn't set the steering wheel back to neutral position. The service department was closing as I picked it up so no time to fix immediately. Bringing a vehicle back to the service department at a busy dealership is never convenient, and this could have easily been prevented if the tech/porter that drove it out of the shop had any awareness to realize that the steering wheel was sitting at a 45 degree slant even though the wheels were pointed straight ahead. After my second visit for wheel balancing, I left with the TMS light on, having been told it would turn off once I started driving. It did not turn off. When I brought it back (again) I learned the TMS had not been synced to the vehicle after tire install. The tech synced the TMS system at that time. A year later (without a tire rotation - not good, I know...) I had a flat tire, at which point it became obvious that the tech had synced the tires in the wrong order such that the vehicle indicated the flat tire was in a different location than it was actually mounted on the vehicle. Extremely disappointing to learn this after the fact, as the flat tire would have been prevented if I had been aware of the tire that was actually leaking, not the tire the truck thought was leaking. Were it not for warranty and recalls that only the stealership can perform, I would never return to, nor recommend Jimmy's service department.
