After a long shopping spree through Barney's, you'...

After a long shopping spree through Barney's, you're probably left pretty hungry. Luckily, there's Fred's on the 9th floor to satisfy your hunger. I've been to Fred's in Beverly Hills, so I kind of knew what to expect when coming here. The food was going to be solid, but nothing mind blowing. The majority of folks that come here to eat are your older Upper East Side crowd. Tons of ladies eating with their friends and chit chatting about their day. The restaurant itself is pretty spacious, and actually tends to be pretty busy during lunch hours. If anything, make a reservation prior to save yourself a wait.

As far as my lunch goes, I decided to keep it incredibly simple and go with the spaghetti and meatballs. At roughly $21 for spaghetti and meatballs, it is definitely a little on the pricier side, but then again, you're eating at Barneys, so $21 is the least of your worries. The spaghetti came out as I expected. It was good, but it wasn't incredible. I found the meatballs themselves to be a little on the blander side, but at least the noodles and sauce were decent. If pastas aren't your forte, their salads are actually pretty huge.

In the end, you're probably not coming here specifically to eat. In the area there are a bunch of other options, but for lack of effort, Fred's is a good choice while you're tearing through Barneys and getting your credit card workout.
