I visited the dealership on April 30th. My salesperson was very nice. There was a concern on my credit report regarding a late car payment from 8 years ago on vehicle I now owned outright. The dealership at first was unwilling to push U.S. Bank to not penalize my financing due to this incident, ignoring that my credit rating and income are more than adequate. We worked on other terms of a possible agreement that included $3,000 for my trade-in. If they could get U.S. Bank to finance at the best rate, despite the deficiency from 8 years ago, we had a handshake agreement. I was told that they would call U.S Bank the next day but that that day's terms would be honored.

The next day, I was called. U.S. Bank had agreed. I came down to the dealership to sign the deal. But the paper that was put in front of me now included a trade-in value of $2,500 instead the $3K that we shook on. Classic bait and switch. I went through with the deal but it has not sat well with me and I regret signing now. I am NOT a repeat customer and I will never recommend to any person I know come here.

To this dealership/sales manager: You reneged on a handshake agreement and squeezed $500 out of my trade-in. Was it worth it?
