I went into menards and spent 500.00. The cash register messed up and charged me twice. I was assured that it didn't go through even though I could see it did on my bank app. ( dealt with Amy) I am a single mother of three kids who can barely work because I'm taking care of my father who has cancer. So to see almost $1000.00 out of my account really upset me. I was assured it would drop off and when it didn't 3 days later I called the store back and talked to Ellen. She stated that it didn't show in their system as a purchase so I would have to call my bank. Which I did. I had to go thru this entire process with them because your computers messed my stuff up. Then I called the store back and talked to Amy again and she assured me I would be compensated for my trouble when I came back in to finish purchasing the remainders for my project. She told me everyone on the front end would know. A week later my money was returned. I had to hold off on my bills because of this. I go back into the store about three weeks later and spent 200 roughly. I asked for the front end supervisor who told me that they will never give discounts. I was shocked. I came back to your store ONLY because I was promised a discount for inconvenience. I asked to talk to the manager ( Eric) he then told me he would ask Amy and call me- which he never did. I'm beyond upset. I've been lied to by associates at this store and I was so embarrassed at the register. I could have easily went to Home Depot across the street. And I will on my next project. This has left me feeling like I do not matter as a customer. This was the schereville Indiana store. I emailed corporate who basically told me that I could go F off. That they wouldn't do a thing for me. DONT SHOP AT MENARDS UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED TO BE SCREWED OVER.
