I found a used vehicle online that interested me, and on a whim I stopped in to look at what was available. I sincerely had no plan to make a purchase yesterday. Jonathan H. was staffing the entry desk, and he instantly became my guide. I told him what I was looking for, and he took me to the third floor where five cars were waiting side by side. Four of them were in my price range, and three of those were very close stylistically to what I needed.

I must have projected casualness, because Jonathan matched my laid back attitude. I don't respond well to pressure, and Jonathan gave me none. Instead he explained the business model, and offered suggestions that seemed rooted in getting me into a car that I liked, instead of getting me into any car and out-the-door. He seemed OK knowing that I had no intention of making a purchase on day one.

I took a fifteen minute test drive, then returned to talk about trade-in values with Mike C. When that went well, I decided to take another test drive that included a longer route along the interstate. Jonathan discussed the types of service I could expect, and the longer I drove, the more at ease I became with buying a car without days of deliberation and anxiety. To be clear, I wasn't changed by the experience. I will still be cautious in the future. I just think I found the right car, at a price I had imagined, and Honda of Seattle made it seem like a natural fit.
