I didn't even get a chance to experience this hotel. We were supposed to take a late flight out to JFK and settle in to our hotel around 1 am on July 1-2 to sleep for the evening before heading into Manhatten. Due to the tornados our flight kept getting pushed back further and futher. Our flight got pushed back until 10:30 the next morning of the 2nd, we wouldn't arrive to JFK until after 4pm, well after the check out time for the hotel, we wouldn't need it anymore. When I called and explained the situation and asked for a refund or even just SOME money back, I was told "it would be hard to put money back on my credit card." I do understand and respect hotel cancellation policies, but in this case is there no exception? It was not my fault (or the hotels) that the tornados pushed my flight back so much but surely there must be SOMETHING that a million dollar hotel chain must be able to do so I do not have to eat the 300 dollars on a hotel I didn't even get to see. All I know is "its going to be hard" for me to recommend this hotel to friends, family, and peers after this situation.
