Ryan Ruud Review of Cheyenne Mountain Resort

Totally not worth the price, and we stayed in the off season. If the experience we had is what you get during peak -yikes!
Let's start with the room. Aside from being a tired room in desperate need of updating the thermostat had two settings .Off or blast furnace making for extremely uncomfortable nights and being forced to open the patio (not safe) to balance out the fire.
Out of 4 days our room was cleaned once and when we checked into it, it had a little disposal dish full of garbage from the last resident, including Band-Aids, and we had to find and plug in several lamps and the alarm clock that were unplugged by the previous ccupant. Clearly attention to detail is lacking.
Moving on to food. We stayed over the holidays, so maybe they were short staffed, but over three meals the food was constantly served overcooked and room temperature (if we we're lucky). For the price of the food, I'd hope to have a better dining experience.
The ONLY saving grace was that the staff was friendly but seemed to not be empowered at all. When these issues were raised, they apologized but didn't offer to make a single accommodation.
When we got our final bill, the daily room rate ended up being significantly more then what was advertised. Pay attention to the resort fees and other items not in the quoted rate. All in all - a bad stay and won't be back.
Don't recommend.
We had a better experience at the Best Western in Omaha on our way home. A third the price, better food, and a modern room.
