Nou Her Review of The Stand Comedy Club
Please people, if you have any self dignity, don't...
Please people, if you have any self dignity, don't go to this place. I have never been treated so terribly.
If I could give them no stars I would. The only part I liked about this place was Ronny Chieng and Graham, the waiter.
My family and I came here for a fun night out before everyone goes their own way. As soon as the first comic came on, I was told by Adele that I was being disruptive. I felt really offended because I didn't understand what I had done wrong. I have gone to many comedy shows and laughing is a typical occurrence. All I had done so far was cheer for the oncoming comic and laugh.
I asked the waitress to speak to the manager. I couldn't believe that Adele was the manager. She did not handle herself in a professional way. As soon as we got outside of the restaurant, Adele threatened to call the cops on me. For what? I have no clue. I was upset, sure, but I was asking her what I did wrong and she couldn't answer me. I am a believer in the truth. I believe that although truth hurts, it is the beginning of an understanding. But Adele couldn't even tell me what I did that was disruptive. I was doing things that I have observed to be of normal activity at a comedy show, laughing and cheering for the next comic.
Adele said she was refusing my business. I know the law and yea she does have a right to refuse my business. But on a sidewalk, I have my right to speech and I want to know what I did wrong. I don't want to repeat whatever it was that was so disruptive.
Paul came out to smooth my ruffled feathers. But he too couldn't tell me what I had done wrong. I'm glad Paul offered me a solution but the night was already ruined.
