Review of World Toyota

I initially gave this place a poor review because of high prices, but I was contacted on it by the Service Manager (Chris Brown) and invited to come discuss all of the issues outlined in my original post. I brought a copy of my mechanic's estimates for the work Toyota performed, and Toyota refunded me the difference ($320), no questions asked. They also took my car back to the service bay, put it up on the rack, and physically showed me everything they saw wrong with my car, since I had been told by my mechanic some of the stuff they'd suggested be replaced didn't need to be (some things I had no idea were there, like a tire plug that was pretty much on the sidewall!!). My initial problem was with the high labor costs, but once they explained how everything was set up (dealers do have a lot more overhead costs, and the job they had to do WAS pretty labor-intensive), it became a lot more understandable. I don't know a whole lot about car parts and how they work, but they did make an effort to break everything down so that it was easy to understand what was wrong with my car and why I needed to get those things fixed.

They gave me no flack for getting the rest of the work done with my mechanic, and they were beyond nice and accommodating. Any questions I had were answered immediately, which is nice, since most places make you wait ridiculous amounts of time for someone to get back to you. And on top of the $320 refund, Toyota gave me a $100 gift card to the restaurant of my choice! AND they offered to mount & balance my tire for free (the one that was poorly plugged) if I decided to buy another one.

Again, I initially rated my experience with World Toyota as poor. I wish I'd talked to someone about it before I even left the service bay with my car that first time, because all that could've been avoided...My advice is to contact them directly as soon as you have a problem. I was skeptical at first, but they really did a great job.
