On March 15 I took my Honda Accord into the Honda of Seattle dealership for servicing. When I drove it home, I noticed the right front side had started bouncing and making a squeaking noise.

So I immediately called the service department, told them about the issue, and scheduled a time to take it back in. Their mechanics looked at it, verified the problem, and said the right front strut was the issue. They agreed it hadn t been an issue when I originally brought the car in for servicing, but claimed the problem appearing after I got it back from them was a coincidence. They offered to replace both struts for $1,600.

Later, I spoke to the manager on the phone and he refused to accept responsibility, offering to replace one strut though that s not standard practice for $460 as a goodwill gesture.

In other words, if you take your car to Honda of Seattle for servicing, they ll break it and charge you to fix it then tell you they re doing you a favor.
