Continental club came highly recommended and we were looking forward to an evening of good blues. AND THE BLUES WERE GREAT! Unfortunately, the bar tender was not. We arrived around 5:30 pm and were thoroughly enjoying the band. My 3 friends got a round of drinks, their first of the evening. We went back for a second round and were told we were too intoxicated. We literally were sitting in the back of the room in the provided seating area listening to the music, doing nothing out of the ordinary. I asked for an explanation, the bartender said we had clearly been drinking all day. I told her we had just arrived downtown, she said she had to do what her manager said. I asked to speak to the manager. The manager said she backed her bartender and couldn't legally serve intoxicated people. I asked how we were overly intoxicated and she just said she trusts her bartender. Unfortunately the night we had highly anticipated ended quickly because we did not feel welcome.
