I've been shopping for a Jaguar XJL and went there to take a look at one they have available that matches everything I'm looking for (color, options, etc)

When I found the car online, I can't recall if I called or emailed but spoke to a guy by the name of Vladimir who promised to email me or text me some pictures that I needed to confirm something about the vehicle, he never did. I texted him a few times and my texts went unanswered.

Either way, I figured I'd swing by because the particular model I am looking for and I am not going to miss a chance on a good vehicle because of bad customer service.

On Saturday I was visiting multiple dealers testing out the different models available to make sure I am buying what I want (V6, V8, Supercharged, etc) and they called me 2-3 times to confirm I was coming and I kept saying I was but that I didn't have any "official" appointment. I will get there when I get there. Christ.

When I finally arrived, their showroom had about 15 vultures just waiting to pounce. I introduced myself, asked for Vladimir - he came out, shook my hand and then left. I was told he is the internet manager and not a sales guy, so i was handed off to another guy. Nice guy, didn't mind him. As I drove the car I noticed the transmission was struggling somewhat (now keep in mind I've done my research, test driven a few of these with same or similar features) but I thought maybe it was just my imagination. Anyway, we got back and I told the sales guy I still had a couple other vehicles to look at before making my decision.

At this point he brings over his manager to pressure-sell me the car. Guy by the name of Sam. Starts questioning why I even need to drive more models, etc, etc. I know the tricks so I shut him down quickly and walked out.

On Monday I received 3 phone calls from them between 9 and 10 am and then a follow-up text message. That was the moment I simply decided even if the car had been in great shape, these people did not deserve my time, effort or money. What a horrible experience, really.

Like the bad, insecure and desperate ex-girlfriend that just won't eff off. Come on man!
