Don't waste your time! My first call was answered...

Don't waste your time! My first call was answered by Sean. He was confused about the loan products they offered. He quoted terms and rates after speaking with a co-worker and assured me there wouldn't be a problem since my credit was good. After hanging up and scratching my head, I decided that the next day I'd better call back to get pre-approved before marching off to the broker to negotiate the new purchase I had in mind. The reviews for this business were a mix just like the others in the market so I called back at 1:00pm and asked for Sean as instructed. He was out to lunch so I gave his office mate my details for a call back. I was to travel out of state to see the inventory at the broker the next day, so I called back at 4:30. "Oh, hi, yes I remember you from yesterday. No, I didn't, wait, yes I did get your message, sorry." I started over with Sean and he proceeded to quote entirely different terms than the day before. Now the car wasn't old enough and the rate needed to be higher. I begrudgingly gave him my details and he ran my credit. He came back to say that I was all set and he could give me the rate he had quoted the day before. I figured I was good. We chatted for a few minutes about what the transaction would be like. He then let slip that I would need to provide my tax return showing a net income equal to the amount of salary I quoted initially during the application. For an auto loan! I stated that my gross income was documented and accurately represented, but with my small business schedule C and losses that my net income figure was much lower. He said that wouldn't work. As I tried to explain deductions and depreciation and how that works, he simply said "goodbye Nick" and hung up on me. I still can't believe it really happened. Don't waste your time. . .
